Colbert Vacation Packages

The hotel was sold out and we arrived about half hour before check-in time. We were told that our room was not ready and we would be called when it was available. We then came back to the hotel about 30 minutes later to find a long lineup for check-in. We waited and we’re once again told our room was not ready, but we could put our credit card down and all that would be left. Was to give us the keys when it was ready. So we did that. We waited almost 2 hours and the line continued to grow. Many others like us were in the same position, waiting on their rooms. I went back up to the desk to check on the status, only to find that one front desk employee was reassigning rooms that were designated for those of us waiting and giving them to the people who were just arriving and in the lineup. Not acceptable. Very poor handling of the situation given many of us had waited four hours. On top of that, our friends who were travelling with us, ended up in a room that had black mould in the shower, a wet carpet, dirt or sand in the carpet, no toilet paper, towel, towels, tissue, or shower curtain. Unfortunately, with the situation at the front desk, they knew they had no choice but to stay in that room for the night. Not sure I would choose to stay there again. Certainly something that the Davenport group needs to correct as it is far from the standards that they claim to uphold.

This was a very nice place to stay, and the staff was very helpful.
