Not what it used to be…

My son and i stayed for a weekend golf tournament, Friday-Sunday. Check-in was welcoming. Ice machine on our floor was out, only working on floors 4 and 6. Light above room’s bar was out. Breakfast next morning, we got there 30 mins before end of service: most of the breads were gone, no fruit salad left. After the tournament, we came back at 4pm to take showers before the banquet. Our dirty towels were gone but not replaced. I called to the front desk, but it rang a few minutes without answer. I took a shower and used a hand towel so my son had the last towel. While he was in the shower, there was a knock at the door asking if we wanted service. New towels please and thank you. Saturday night we came back from the awards and wanted a snack and drink. Went to the bar at left, waited 10 minutes at the bar without being even acknowledged. Bartender looked at us, then asked a different group of the wanted more drinks. We left. My past experiences at other Embassy Suites left me expecting more.

Good stay overall. The room was reasonably clean and comfortable and the breakfast with made to order omelettes was great. The staff and service could use some work, however. The internet in our room did not work, and despite telling the front desk twice and one of their techs telling us they would look into it, it was never fixed and they never communicated anything about it to us. One day, we specifically asked for housekeeping to come in and clean the bathroom, but when we got back they obviously had not. When we called the front desk, they were very dismissive about it and didn't even offer to send up any towels or anything we might need.

Very outdated hotel. Our room was dirty, there was still clothing in the drawers from the previous guest, and the pull out couch had food on it. We asked to move rooms, and when we walked in the new room, there was clothing on the bed in the second room. The front desk workers were incredibly kind and found us a third room, but by that point we were very disappointed and stressed. The staff is very kind, the breakfast was fresh, but the rooms are outdated and dirty. If you can handle stained carpets and torn bed sheets, it’s not terrible for a night or two. I would not return.

Hotel was nice. Staff friendly. Check in was slow but it seemed like there were a couple very large family reunions happening. You had to reserve time for the pool (I don’t think this protocol is always in place but was this weekend due to the large groups). Breakfast was standard hotel options. Staff did a great job keeping food hot and buffet options full. Rooms were size able and clean. Pre-teen boy slept if the pull out bed and said it was not comfortable and he could hear a lot of outside hallway noise but main bedroom noise was not a problem. There was 1 of 3 available elevators was down and the wait for the elevator was at time very long.

Our hotel room had so many stains on the walls and carpets, wads of gum all over the floors, the sinks both leaked we had to wrap towels around them to use them, the curtains were torn, the phone wasn’t even connected we couldn’t call the front desk. Went downstairs with these issues and they couldn’t change us rooms so we had to stick it out! We had to reserve the pool to swim and it was so packed with people everyday we didn’t have much room to swim. But the worse part about our stay was checkout day the elevators had 20-30 minute waits to go down from the 6th floor, the only had emergency exit stairs that lead outside. We couldn’t find a cart the entire hotel only had 6 carts available! They should have more with how many rooms this hotel has. We found a marijuana grinder my son picked up from the hallway!! I expressed all these concerns to the front desk and the lady was completely rude and seam to careless about my issues. Will not be staying at this hotel again.
