The pool was not what the photo shows. It’s dinky. The breakfast was average. Hotels need to change it up a little. The oatmeal was hideous.

Won’t stay again

Bad experience. Our first room had a bad mold smell. Went to front desk to ask to be switched. Was told that all of the rooms were sold out. After letting them know that I have asthma and allergies, I was told that there may be an up charge to change the room. I expressed that I shouldn’t be charged anything because this isn’t an issue that I have created. They then switched our room. The other room had the same mold smell, but it wasn’t as strong. For the price of the rooms, this should not have been happening. The hotel also need some updating. The wallpaper is coming off of the walls in the bathroom, as well as the decorative pillows have bad stains on them. We’ve stayed here before and didn’t have this issue, but will not stay here again.

Good location and nice staff

The hotel is conveniently located by six flags so if you want to eat in your hotel or even park there and walk to save the $35 parking fees you can. The breakfast is your average hotel breakfast and has decent hours. The rooms were clean but im not a fan of hard floors in hotels. I did like the bathroom size, the shower was great, and the mirror is nice. There was also a good sized fridge. Unfortunately you can hear everything in the hallway so every time someone leaves there room or is talking it is like they are in your room. There is a small pool but no hot tub. I didnt use the pool while there though so i have no orher thoughts on that. This hotel also has a noon checkout which can be nice for those needing a little extra time. Finally, the beds for me were a little too hard but that might be just me.

The outside of the property is not kept up at all and it gets worse when you walk inside. Very dingy. The room was dirty. The couch was old vinyl and the seat was dirty. There was a brown spot on the dingy bedspread. The only positive was that they did not argue about refunding our money and we found a clean hotel for a better rate.

The staff were fine but the place is run down. Needs painted, new carpet as it’s currently badly stained. I expected more from a country inn. The pillows had hardly any stuffing. Your employees were great.

Needs some TLC, but served our needs fine

This hotel works fine for going to Six Flags as Six Flags is basically across the street. However, it just needs some TLC. Parking lot is overgrown and an eye sore. Room furnishings were worn such as ripped curtains and shower curtains. Tables had smudge marks on them as if they hadn't been wiped down recently. Everything is just outdated, but the hotel served our needs for a quick trip to Six Flags. It's also nice that there is a McDonald's across the street too, for some quick ice cream post-amusement park as it was HOT at the park.

Would stay here again. Loved the location; walkable to Great America and a lot of restaurant choices nearby. Could use a little sprucing up, but it wasn't anything terrible. Would be nice to have more than one steamer tray of warm food options for breakfast.

Great Place, Rambunctious Guests

Good to great hotel overall, please note, however, that it is directly across the street from a theme park so the clientele here is quite rambunctious. I had to switch rooms in the middle of the night because kids kept running around in the hallway making a racket.
