This is a beautiful resort in a quiet mountain setting. We were here during the summer so can't speak to what it is like for a ski vacation but from what we can see it looks conveniently located to the ski runs and there is a gondola that goes from the hotel to the ski resort. Our room was comfortable and clean. We had a beautiful view and I would have given it 5 stars if we could utilize the view full time. Unfortunately the room faced the check in/ drive up to the hotel and so unless you want every guest to see into your room as they drive up, you have to keep your curtains closed most of the time. That was disappointing but when we could keep the curtains open the view was amazing. Service is good and food is good - in room dining is available 24x7 which is a plus. There were a number of times we couldn't reach anyone in guest services or room service however (no one picked up) and so that was a bit frustrating. Other than that service was great and everyone was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend the stargazing experience in the hotel's own observatory dome. There is an actual astronomer on staff. We will definitely come back and just pick a different room.

Our room was small and dated in design. Loved the lobby with fireplace. Restaurant was mediocre, the steak was good, meatloaf was terrible. Restaurant was very understaffed, only one server for 2 large rooms. They only provided room cleaning and clean linens every 3 days. Even when asked for clean towels daily, they only left one for 2 people. On the positive side, the staff was very polite, kind, friendly, and courteous. I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The room was very clean and quiet. I finally got the sleep I needed.
