Run down!

Our family comes to Carson City for the soccer tournament. We have stayed at Hardaman House several times. It is more run down than ever. We were in room 101, i tried to open the right side window, it fell completely out of the frame. 1st floor, not safe. My daughters room, the thermastate was hanging off the wall, not working at all. Beds were comfortable, the only positive thing i can say.

AC didnt work. In the middle of repairs. But overall would never stay there. Ever. Outdated, not enough plug ins for phones. Bathroom is tiny and needs updated appliances. Mini fridge and mircowave where also very small. Desk staff very kind and helpful. But cant help a hotel with no AC

Not great for the price, as the place is in some need of a refresh. There were lots of little things that were irritating, like a lack of electric outlets incl none at the desk (I had to use a power strip under the bed), no plug for the sink, a burst of rusty water when first turned on, a mismatch between the coffee packets and the pot size, a rather involved TV, etc. There's a Roadway Inn a couple blocks away for half the price and I doubt the difference is that great.

We requested the top floor. They put us on the bottom floor. The room above us was so loud that we could hear their EVERY MOVE! When we walked into our room the desk light and fan were on. Both beds looked like someone had been laying on yhem. One bed was broken and it felt like you were sleeping in a hole. We registered with 4 people and there was only 2 towels. We requested the room to be made up the next day. It didn't happen. They said they would supply more towels. We had to go to the front desk each time to get them because they did not supply them as they say they would.

Our room had a panels on ceiling missing and the thermostat was broke . The heater ran the whole time even when we turned off the heater

Great historic hotel, highly recommend

Loved this hotel, it's not like every other hotel, rooms mostly looking alike, it is unique. The room was huge, the bed is a regular bed though, squeaky. Complaints about the carpet are greatly unfounded, they are going to update it, but it is clean and not bad looking. They are currently renovating the upstairs rooms, but it did not affect our stay. Great little historic hotel, I recommend it.

Actual conditions didn’t match up to website descriptions. Left a day early, after checkout hours, because handicap needs were not met. Decided it was better to eat the cost and go sleep in our own bed, with toilets we could use.

Everything was great from check-in to check-out! Staff were very welcoming and kind! Rooms and property were clean! Requests were handled quickly. Also provides continental breakfast! Quiet/peaceful! Highly recommended :) Also, wine provided was excellent and relaxing during our stay!

Property is a little dated. We stayed there two years in a row for a tournament we attend in Reno. Nice option for outside of downtown Reno. Quiet. Staff is great and they are working hard to update. The place is clean but again, dated. We will be staying there again next year and look forward to seeing the improvements. Other nice things, coffee is available all the time along with wine and treats in the evening. Breakfast could use a little more in terms of options.

Good value, satisfied with our stay.

Staff was friendly- A+ . Basics for room cleaning was fine. It is old , so floors are stained, curtains old and ripped in our room. Beds comfy, good pillows and sheets. It was quiet which is important to me and can be bad at newer hotels with thin walled rooms. Breakfast very basic, but helped get you going on the day.

Room had plenty of room. Lights were dim, toilet was loose in the bathroom. TV was so small it was hard to see from beds. No decent creamers for coffee. Cashiers were confused about charges on check-in and check-out but this may have been due to Hotels.com reservations.

Excellent location.

This is an older property with an excellent central location. Beds are new and very comfortable. Parking is convenient. And the people at the reception are friendly. The carpeting throughout the property needs to be replaced. Indeed, a sign by the elevator mentions this. The hotel will be far more appealing once the new carpeting is installed.
