Was not told when booking that they would be doing construction for 9am to 5pm every day. Extremely load. Could not change our room or accommodate us and we ended up leaving to a different hotel.

Was locked out of my room and when I asked why they said someone one my room had popped by the pool and tried to charge us $300 . I asked for proof because we were sure no one did that and they kept saying I had to pay . After a good 40 min they said they had a picture and when they showed it to us the realized it wasn’t any of us. All they said it was a mistake and let us back in the room. The honestly ruins a whole day of vacation because they accused us infront of others . I felt so uncomfortable after Thai . Will not be coming back !

Dear Expedia Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service and overall experience during our recent vacation package booked through Expedia for our stay at Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula in Cancun. First, upon arrival we were charged $170 for a room upgrade. We were informed that this was necessary in order to receive a better room. However, we later learned that all rooms at the hotel feature balconies with ocean views. Two years ago, during our previous stay at the same property, we received a similar room without any additional charge. Therefore, we believe the $170 upgrade fee was unnecessary and unjustified. Second, beginning Monday, the hotel started renovation work without any prior notice to guests. The noise was extremely loud and constant. It was impossible to relax or enjoy our vacation due to the excessive construction noise. Had we been informed in advance, we would have reconsidered our booking. Additionally, during elevator repairs, access to one of the elevators was blocked, and a strong-smelling paint or chemical substance was used in the area. The odor was so intense that it was difficult to breathe. This created a very uncomfortable and unpleasant environment, especially considering we environment, especially considering we were there to отдых and relax. The room was spotless and clean. The staff ws was great as far as amenities the Television was old and small and needs to be undated and same with furniture it is approximately 15 years old, the room was nice , I was there when it t was built

The place was amazing! Room cleaned spotless everyday. Staff all around were very carrying for our needs and very friendly. Entire resort was kept very clean. Rooms have beautiful views! Can’t wait to go back!
