"Not a 4 star hotel."
We arrived late evening, after waiting approx 20 mins in line, night receptionist, ( older man) couldn't find our booking, eventually, he gave us a room for the night, and asked the we contactwith reception in the morning. Don't know whose problem it was, but it was sorted out, we were given the same room for our stay. Hotel needs a lot of attention, reception and immediate entrance look alright, but the rest is very tired looking , bed clothes quiet worn, our wash band basin was cracked. Dining room was the strangest ever. I know it was a busy week for them, ( Ironman competition) but all food is not in line, it's in several different places in the dining room! And the really need to get someone that can cook an egg! And they ran out of cups! All that said, after the first night, the staff were lovely, and hotel is perfectly situated, near beautiful beach, restaurants and lots of shops! I would go there again, butI defiantly not a 4 star hotel, almost 3 star.

" Friendly Hotel"
Very pleasant stay. Hotel and room very clean. Staff very friendly. Food plentiful and chefs more than willing to cook dishes the way you want. Small pool but as everybody clears off to the beach hardly anybody uses it. Returnable 10 Euro deposit on beach towels.Terrace has the sun all day. Resort is very Catalunyian. Loads of shops 2 mins away but not much to do at night, except buy stuff. A few restaurants but no concessions in any shape or form to pub culture. Depending on your viewpoint English is hardly heard. And strangely a distinct lack of music. Hotel Volga lays on varied entertainment almost every night and some of it is very good. Female vocalist was excellent as was Flamenco night. Woman lead was outstanding. Say hello to Jose, who will serve you your drinks at night - top man. Calella is perfectly placed for 1 hour train trip to Barcelona. BEWARE: everything in Barcelona needs to be prebooked at least a day before! Girona is a must; very classy, 1 hour - a mini Florence. The train line is literally on your doorstep and is the obstacle between all the coastal towns and the their beaches. Didn't bother us as we saw it as a plus for moving around. Beach is huge but there is a charge for loungers (about 7 Euros a day). From airport, take free bus to train-station 5 mins. Train to hotel took 2 hours/ 2 changes, 5 Euros each. Taxi cost is 120 Euro. Great, relaxing holiday.

"Nice hotel for our family"
We had a pleasant stay at Neptuno. The area was lovely and very accessible to the beach and walking avenues along the beach. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. We felt safe during our visit and the hotel staff were very accommodating. Our one issue was the poor internet access. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but we needed it for planning our trip and the Wifi was poor even though they have numerous hotspots.

"Great hotel for the price"
For the price we paid, we didn't expect much, however, after checking with them that a late check-in was availableft, they provided us with a cold meal on our arrival. The room is nothing fancy, but clean. The pool is lovely and secluded. We loved the location of the hotel, it's away from the 'touristy' bars and the big group of hotels, yet only a 5 min walk to the main street, and about 15 mins to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Calella is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Calella, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Calella hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
