Very clean, quiet, great breakfast

This place is very clean! Like the caulk is clean in the bathroom, I can walk around Barefoot without the bottoms of my feet getting dirty, there's a high ceiling and no evidence of a cobweb. I don't know if I'm just lucky not to have neighbors because my room is at the end of the hall, but it was extremely quiet. I would not have needed my earplugs to sleep. And the breakfast was fantastic! I didn't have to bring my bin with cereal and whatnot into the hotel, because breakfast had everything I could possibly want. Hard boiled eggs, yogurt, peanut butter, bread, oatmeal, little omelets, waffles, fruit. I would definitely come back here!

Ok room, breakfast area tiles were quite dirty!

For the same price in New Orleans the room was just fine. At breakfast time the tiles around the area for breakfast area were quite dirty due to people walking in. The least the hotel could do is have those tiles cleaned up before morning breakfast! I couldn’t believe my eyes how dirty they were. I can imagine the carpets in the hallways are likely dirty as well.

Bathroom sliding door weighs a ton -- very hard to move! Bathroom design poor: toilet much too low for adults, sink is too small, counter in bathroom is very narrow, doesn't give much space for toiletries Soap and lotion dispensers are too far from the sink Breakfast was quite good

Very nice winter weekend stay at the Hampton Inn Colchester. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The complimentary hot breakfast was fantastic and there were many unexpected options. The hotel was close to area skiing and plenty of restaurants. Added bonus was there is a Starbucks in the adjoining parking lot. We would definitely stay again.
