"Always a treat!"
Wonderful hotel, that is a family favourite when we are back in the UK! We had a very comfortable stay in one of the deluxe rooms, which had comfortable beds and lovely views of the beautiful grounds! The full English breakfast that was included is incredible, with an even better selection than our previous stays! Highly recommend :)

"Central hotel, great staff"
Good location within walking distance of town centre and Castle Good selection at breakfast, including being able to order freshly cooked items. The sausages, always one of my benchmarks, were good quality. We ate in the restaurant one evening and ate from the bar menu rather than a la carte. Service was a bit slow, staff were ok but probably overstretched as there didn't seem to be many on duty. I had steak which was nice, my husband had fish and chips which was typical of pub fare. Reasonably priced. Bedroom and bathroom were clean, but like the rest of the hotel, in need of a refresh. Couldn't fault the reception and restaurant/bar staff. Excellent and friendly service from check in to beyond check out. (We left an item there and they were very helpful in getting it posted back to us). We would stay here again but it would be nice if they were able to give the hotel a refresh in the near future to properly meet its 4 star rating.

"Character Inn"
A very old building - and to be honest this could be seen in the bedroom - Sundial Curtains, were a bit of a joke - the hooks were on thread and linked to the curtain rail so you couldn't actually close them Flaky paint on the ceiling. Mattress - far too small for the 4 poster bed - perhaps a super king size would have been better Staff friendly - and helpful. Breakfast OK Overall though good value for money

"Room selection is crucial then you will enjoy"
The location, friendliness of staff, being very dog friendly, food in the bar / restaurant, coffee & biscuits in the room & cleanliness of the room were all first class. However, the room was very disappointing, because when I booked via Expedia I wasn't made aware of the various standards of rooms. Ours was small, so only had a standard double bed (so much smaller than we are used to), the pillows were uncomfortable and the shower was extremely uncomfortable to use: It was mounted above the bath, bath to ceiling was only 6 feet, and under the shower head was 5 feet 4 inches so unless you are a "Little Egret" (the name of the room we were allocated) or very small people or don't like showers you'd be very disappointed

"Lovely hotel and grounds"
This hotel has lovely grounds and rooms. We stayed whilst renovations were being carried out, which was not expected, so we didn't have use of a lounge area or conservatory, as it was being use for storage temporarily. We could see that such areas were being built and they looked very promising. I'd like to stay again when building work is finished. The only real negative was that in room 4, which is one of the smaller rooms, the very narrow cupboard, used as a wardrobe was very small and only had two hangers, so we kept our clothes in our bags, such a shame to spoil the room due to no storage. More hangers and a couple of shelves would have been useful. The shower room was lovely, very big and the shower had an ordinary power shower and a rain fall type shower in a huge cubicle. The cooked breakfasts were lovely, but the fruit and yoghurt needed food covers over them as there was a fly around the fruit.

"Hotel in a good position, very close to beach."
Took my granddaughters for special weekend away. A little disappointed that the room, although advertised as a luxury double family room, was a double with a double bed and two camp beds which didn't leave us much room to move around. However it was clean and the bathroom was lovely and modern. Parking is very difficult as car park is usable by the public and people coming to drink on the terrace which necessitates parking along the roads nearby. The bar and terrace were always busy which gives a nice vibe. It seems to be very popular as there seems to be something going on all the time. All in all we enjoyed our visit.

Bungay is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Bungay, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Bungay hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
