Reserved the hotel to attend the Newport Boat Show, and the location truly was perfect, within easy walking distance to the events, restaurants, and everything happening in town. Unfortunately, the room itself felt dated and definitely needs an upgrade for the price they charge. Also, be careful with parking. We arrived early knowing our room wouldn’t be ready, but were hit with an extra $50 fee on top of the $35 parking charge simply because we pulled in at 11 AM instead of 2 PM. There were plenty of open spots, so it wasn’t a capacity issue. When I questioned it, the front desk suggested finding street parking and returning at 2 PM, not exactly helpful when thousands of people are flooding Newport. Just be aware of the timing, or you’ll be surprised by extra fees.

Tim at the front desk was excellent. He gave us lots of great information about sites to visit in Newport. Paula was excellent as well. She moved us quickly from room 200 which has a lot of street noise and was also great to work with.

Good, not great. Needs renovations and some upkeep with blinds, rugs, smoke alarms. Great location though. Staff were friendly.
