It is very clean, rooms are spacious, centrally located to the north end and close to: Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, harbor, aquarium, duck tours, 20 minute subway ride to Fenway Park, etc..

The check-in process was very smooth - we arrived a little earlier than check-in time and instead of asking us to store luggage and come back, the friendly front desk employee found a clean room available for us! She even provided a map and recommendations for a tour. Thankfully, the quick check-in allowed us to start exploring immediately. Also, cool that they use real keys instead of magnetic cards. The room itself was clean and nice-sized. Our bathroom's fan and shower light were not in service, but it did not affect us too much. We made use of the mini refrigerator, iron, and ironing board and they all worked well. This is a beautiful hotel with brick interior, nicely decorated with harbor and nautical art. The hotel has two working elevators, and we had no issues with long waits. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring nearby Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, and walkable to many nearby attractions. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and highly recommend the Harborside Inn. One tip for management to take it to A+ would be to consider including free breakfast or a morning snack to hotel guests.

Location isn’t everything

Great location BUT when we arrived, there was a sign for valet parking but no valet…..it is a self park hotel use the valet sign so can load and unload. Our room was in the basement which we did not until the day before when the reservation stated no windows. We were given 2 different number real room keys so not certain which cabin we actually had. Then when walked in it smelled musty and damp. They did bring air freshener and it helped but would not stay here again with various other options near by that would be more predictable as to what your room will be like.

Centrally located in Boston to sites you want to walk to. However the room was small , the shower small, and no luggage holder, and no dresser or closet to put you clothes in. Only good for 1 or 2 night stay.
