We simply wanted a warm room with a clean bed and a shower at a reasonable price, and that's what we got. Our room had a larger refrigerator than most motel rooms, along with a microwave and coffee maker. Our only staff interaction was signing in and out, and that was fine. We were in the area for a dance festival and other motels raised their prices for the weekend, but these folks did not.

Room was clean but dated, bed was very comfortable, but we had to deal with a smoke detector in the next room over with a low battery beeping all night every 30 seconds. Parking was great, as you could have your car right out in front of your room (typical motel layout). If the beeping were not happening I would be much more satisfied, but there was no hotel staff available after 11pm, and the beeping didn't start until 2am, and was persistent throughout the night and the next morning.
