The property lacked housekeeping and trash was everywhere!

This property is a current work in progress...I hope. The room was stellar and redone VERY well. The rooms was clean and staff were kind and helpful. There are a few areas that still need to be redone (e.g., the ground floor walk way to elevator looks like a trap house, and elevator sounds like it it’s pleading for oil/lubrication.). The let down was the pool. If you are looking at the pictures of the pool that extends from inside to outdoors—I have some bad news for you. They filled in the outdoor pool and walled it off. I assume this is to make the pool accessible year round—but in my opinion a MAJOR let down for a summer stay. The pool was packed every day and without the airflow from outside felt very humid and the pool felt like lukewarm soup. Overall the hotel has received a much needed facelift. You can see what they want it to be. Just not sure it’s quite there yet. The biggest upgrades they need to make are the ground floor entrance to elevator, the elevator itself and maybe build out some windows in the pool area to give it some airflow. Will be back next summer!

We booked 2 rooms. Room #1 The first room they put us in had moldy food running down the nightstand and onto the carpeting. They moved us to another room which had broken furniture and black mold in one corner. Room #2 Also had broken furniture and didn’t have hot water. They told them to shower in a different room which was nice and had new flooring in it. Why we didn’t get updated rooms is a mystery to me. It seems there were a lot of contractors staying there. The grounds are also not maintained. When we asked for a partial refund we were told the most they could refund was $50 per stay ( we stayed 2 nights) and we needed to complain to Expedia to get that. The lobby was full of new carpeting but I didn’t see anyone doing construction. I never saw any housekeeping and the hallways were not vacuumed either. I won’t be staying here again.

Breakfast staff, the breakfast ambassador was great. Very friendly and kept food stocked. Her fill in on her day off. Not so good Rarely was anyone at the front desk. Calls went to a message machine. Two nights in a row ZERO parking. Had to wait until staff left their shift and 2nd night had to create one. Didn’t clean our room the second day, our do not disturb sign was not on. Then when they finally did it. Very minimal.
