Oh my God, this is a dump. My first room when I entered the bathroom was not clean properly and there were bugs, dead bugs in the bathroom. Ants crawling through light switches. I called front desk, which was very helpful and said they could move me to another room or have housekeeping come in the morning. I chose a new room which is was exactly beside it. This room had no bugs however, in both rooms there is obvious hand and dirt prints all over the place. The rooms need renovation, the entire bathroom needs to be renovated and some of the air conditioning units ASAP. Even with them, confirming they cleaned the place, I felt dirty touching door handles and anything in the hotel. Also, in the new room, the showerhead was clogged with either line, calcium, or mold and mildew. I reported this as well, but nothing happened. Have you ever tried to take a shower and you felt like you were under a spring with water lightly dripping? It was horrible!!!!! During checkout, I reported everything to the manager on call and he said because I booked through a third-party he could not adjust my room, but asked me to give him a good review. When I booked this room, it was over four stars but I’m finding on Google. It’s 3 stars and I don’t think any hotel should be able to function if they’re 3 stars or less. This was a hot mess, but the staff was friendly. The website was definitely misleading when I booked the reservation because I would’ve never stayed in a three star hotel.

We had to pay in a public parking for two days and the breakfast was closed and so was the restaurant. The rooftop lounge was not open. They only had a little snack corner but the prices were to high

The Royal Hotel was beautiful. The rooms were on the small side but the beds were big and so comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Everything in the French Quarter is within walking distance of this hotel. Magical!

Beautiful, well located property. An excellent fit for folks who want a place to rest between adventures in the city. We loved having the privacy and recommendations for dinning and entertainment.
