Appart'City Arlon - Porte du Luxembourg

"Good facilities but let down by problems."
My booking was for two individual apartments. A newish facility. Poor snagging before accepting the building into use appears to be a problem. One suite had a main entrance door that would only partially open - door jammed on floor because of loose door frame. The door into the bedroom wasn't moveable because the door frame had come away from the entrance wall - not fixed with screws! This was potentially dangerous if one tried to close the door to separate the kitchen area from the bedroom. The second apartment had a badly cracked lower window panel of glass and a completely broken shower head support clamp. On reporting these defects to reception, it appears they were aware of these problems BUT nothing had been done to sort things out, nor warn guests! As for security, the main entrance door electronic lock was completely broken - so no security. The inner entrance door scraped on the ceiling light fitting and was incorrectly marked for opening - no handle to 'pull' open as instructed. If the problems are sorted out the grading could be much better, which it deserves.

"Lovely hotel for families. "
Down point our boys weren't aloud to use the pool as you could only go in wearing budgy smugglers which the male's in my family refuse to wear. Fantastic hotel brilliant for families with lots to do to keep the tribe entertained. The staff speak french and whilst the excellent reception staff spoke perfect english not many of the restaurant staff did, so pack your phrase book.

"Well positioned, close to the motorway, yet quiet."
The staff were all welcoming, spoke good English, and were able to anticipate our needs. Our standard room was spacious and clean, with the all the necessary facilities. There were, however, only the Belgian TV channels. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent - it was difficult to choose from the small menu! Breakfast was also good, more than enough for us. Check out was quick and easy. We would go back.

"Quaint, Nothing Fancy"
This is the type of place I expected in a small town in Belgium; a little outdated but a friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays to give the help the day off but they still had a limited menu for the guests. They offered steak, local trout, and quiche. These were all very good. All in all, this is a gem off the beaten path.

"charming hotel"
We stayed here two nights while traveling around the Ardennes. It's very charming inside and out. There's a lovely terrace with tables, and our room overlooked this. The room was quite spacious. We had twin beds, which were fairly narrow. There are plenty of electrical outlets, but no refrigerator. The bathroom was quite spacious, though there was little counter space. Perhaps a table adjacent to the sink would help. The shower worked well, but could have used a soap/bottle dish. Though it was one big room, there was a bed area and a large living room with two large stuffed chairs and two other chairs. There was a TV. There is free WiFi, though the signal is quite weak. Apparently this is true of the whole region. The furnishing were very nice, and everything was clean and in good repair. There was plenty of lighting and very good storage space. There was a desk with a reading lamp on it. The hotel has a dining room with a good menu. We ate there one evening, and the food was excellent. Breakfast was included in the very reasonable room rate, and it was also quite nice. The woman who checked us in (the owner?) was extremely nice, and she spoke English (among other languages). She lent us a local map of the region and was very helpful. The hotel is very charming in appearance. It is quite comfortable for an extended stay. It has its own parking lot (free). I highly recommend this lovely inn.

Belgian Ardennes is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Belgian Ardennes, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Belgian Ardennes hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
