The staff was great, kind and very accommodating. The cleaning staff res.\nPonded to every request in need. The history of the hotel and the location is great for getting to all the tourist sites and activities. They're hard wood original floors and you may hear the people above you so if you want total piece and quiet , don't stay there but if you don't mind an occasional basic walking because of the structure , it is a great facility . My husband and I plan on attending a Saint's game and we'll be standing at the hotel.

Overall, the hotel is beautiful. However, rooms which are randomly assigned always have some sort of issues. Last visit, cabinets were peeled and the water was not getting warm. In relation to this last recent stay, the toilet was stopped up and the shower needed maintenance. The shower handle was broken which made it difficult to turn the water on. I at least desired to give the stay one more chance from the prior visit, which is why I booked again. Hotel staff made it appear as if issues with how the room looked and issues with the bath tub during Mardi Gras season, were due to the season. Unfortunately, it seems as if a few rooms are not fully maintained from an operational standpoint. Nevertheless, some staff were friendly. However, others acted as if they didnt want to be bothered.

Beautiful historic building, loved the pool/courtyard area. The restaurant was very good and staff were very attentive.
