Just OK! If you’re looking for a great deal, then this is your oasis. No frills Mom and Pop roadside motel. Pretty cheap to stay there, but there’s just a single knob lock on the door. No deadbolt So my wife felt like it lacked security. The second problem was the room smelled like mold. They had a Damp- Rid bucket placed in the bathroom that needed to be drained and refilled with new Damp-Rid material to continue the process of removing the mold and must out of the room. The AC struggled to keep us cool. We personally won’t stay here again but it was economical and had some charm. If the necessary repairs and updates are made this place could be a contender.

Although ‘soap’ was included in the bathroom, no shower soap, nor shampoo, was available….handsoap only. This unit is probably OK for a single traveler, but not for couples. Cheap furnishings and poor craftsmanship of finish work…trim, flooring, paint, etc. No air conditioning…just a small ceiling fan, with the pull-chain out of reach to adjust the speed. Regular size bed was mattress only, no box springs. Price was unreasonable for this property. Not impressed and will not return.

Go there every year and will continue to go there. Love it. Great for kids

The only issue we had was the breakfast room is small and crowded, without enough seats. I could have given a score of 5.

The Island House is where we will stay every visit to the Island! It was not only beautiful but its location was perfect as well! They offer two amazing restaurants! We loved our time!

Funky, funky smell! A/C didn’t work great

Room was clean, property was a little run down. Sandy beach/lawn area was nice and the location was great!!! Staff was friendly.

Our room had a water stain on the wall that had not been taken care of properly. The entire room smelled of mold. I asked to be moved since I have a very serious mold allergy.
