PARKROYAL Yangon - Yangon Hotels
Rating: 4.5 Stars

33 Alan Pya Phaya Road, Yangon - Map
"convenient location to major places of interest"
Great breakfast spread. We would rank it the best during our Myanmar visit. Room was very clean but spartan. Not a single picture or painting on the walls. Excellent fresh air, most likely from newly upgraded air-conditioning. Bathroom needs renovation. Chipped bathtub, plastic shower curtains, tiled walls and floors looked dated.

"Beautiful Hotel"
Beautiful Hotel with three amazing restaurants with delectible and savory food. Lounge with great beverages and excellent food with friendly and prompt staff who anticipate your needs. Spa services were outstanding. Every staff member was polite and greeted you and always asked if there was anything they could do to make your stay better. Highly recommend this fabulous hotel with free shuttle to many interesting Yangon sites and a breakfast buffet to meet anyone's palate. Amazing fruit, pastries, cereals, custom egg bar, Chinese fare, cheese and salad station, noodle soup bar, hot breakfast entrees and on and on. Too many to list all sections. Treat yourself to this spectacular hotel in a great location in Yangon.

"Nice hotel close to Rangoon airport"
The staff at reception is Nice, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are reasonably well equipped but a bit outdated (especially the bathrooms). When arriving in Yangon, you have to go to the taxi desk ( in the arrival Hall near the exit) to book an official taxi. There is an official fare list according to your destination in Rangoon. We had to pay 3,000 Kyats (about 2.3 USD) to the hotel. There are some ATM's in the arrival hall where you can get some Kyats with your bank card (MasterCard, Visa, Union pay).

"Excellent Place to Stay"
This was my first time staying at the Palm Springs Resort. If my future stays are as good as my last I will stay there from now on. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and very helpful. One of the desk clerks helped me retrieve a laptop computer that I left on the airplane. She called the airline and put me in touch with the right person. The breakfasts are amazing and restaurant staff that treat you like royalty. This is a great place to stay!

"All good except for food."
Staffs were good, cleanliness, everything were all good except for food. Thursday they had japanese buffet mixed with other non japanese like indian and savouries, snacks and sweets. However, taste wasn't good. First of all they placed non halal besides halal, so that ruin my appetite. I am a pescatarian so I tried few of their seafood and indian food. It's oily and the indian food is not what I expected it to taste. I have tried many indian food all over the world but it doesnt taste fantastic. my expectation from shangri-la is higher. the next day morning break fast buffet (initially I went to horizon executive lounge - 95% of the limited food were all beef and unappetising looking food so i went to lobby level 1 for more, and again i saw some japanese sushi again (which doesn't look appealing and fresh to me, like as if it was from the evening dinner). I tried their indian and seafood again. NOt good. Their donuts and even waffles doesn't taste good. I don't enjoy my meals here. Order room service tom yum, its not good. I am not fussy with food. but this is not up to the standards. I tried other shangri-la before, its way better....

"Amazing experience "
The hotel staff are amazing - very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a mix of Myanmar and Western dishes, and the rooftop deck and pool are amazing. The location is great within walking distance of Kandawgyi (Royal Lake), a few restaurants and a funky bar/club (J-One).

Yangon is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Yangon, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Yangon hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
