The stay was good for the class and served the purpose we needed. The problem was with the hotel and Expedia We used the Expedia app on the way down and as we hit book it just spun. After a couple minutes it told us it timed out and did not go thru so we did it again and it worked. When we got to the hotel nothing was said to us about having 2 reservations so we checked in and went to sleep. Breakfast was good and we headed south. On the way the boss was looking and saw 2 charges on the card so she called the hotel. They told us there was nothing they could do as it was non refundable rooms. We then called Expedia and they called the hotel. The hotel told them that one of the rooms was through Choice, which was a lie. We were told by Expedia that Choice would refund us. Problem was everything was billed through Expedia on our card. After 10 days and many more calls and e-mails we were told by Expedia there was nothing they could do. My wife went off and threatened to contest the charge with the card company. Finally a supervisor got on the call and told us nothing could be done but changed his mind. This shouldn’t have been so hard to deal with since it was obvious where the charges were billed. I still don’t understand why the hotel told them it was billed through Choice.
