Second visit to this place. Nicely situated but noisy from a nearby restaurant. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff were friendly. It has a special charm. Decorated in a Mexican style. They have a huge loquat tree that you could sample in the spring

I would not recommend this property. We were situated in a corner room, both windows basically covered by fences that stood about 1 foot from the window. My partner and I collectively killed 5 small spiders in our two night stay. The worst part was the noise. We stayed on a Thursday and Friday night. Each night, we were unable to fall asleep until roughly 2:00 am because a club/bar around the corner was blasting Kesha until closing. Also, parking was limited, so we had to street park which was inconvenient to say the least.
The property needs some tlc. The shower was missing some tiles and the walls need to be plastered in some areas. the drapery need some deep cleaning.
Breakfast was good. We would stay again but not for a long period of time. Parking is a challenge too.
Not what I expected, the photos looked much better than the actual property

Amazing location. Hotel is conveniently located right in front of the Buenaventura Mission. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is included. Parking is free, but limited. Building is outdated, but charming. The beds are super uncomfortable. I felt like i was laying on cardboard and was unable to get a goodnight sleep during our stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Computers were down when we arrived so front desk wasn’t able to check us in. Eventually a manual list was printed and our check in was granted. The room was pretty average, but the bathroom was like a 2 star. In need of a remodel in place of all the patching done on the walls. Toiletries were very average. Front desk was very nice, but unfortunately this property was very tired and in need of repairs and remodeling. We Did find some great little cafes nearby and the town is cute.
Great place to stay for the price! Nice staff, great breakfast, comfortable bed. Had a little bit of a "musty, old smell" and the drapes were really dismal in room 110. Invest a little money please!
We were just passing through and enjoyed our one night stay in a room with two queens. The hotel is old but well kept. Cleanliness was not an issue as everything looked great and the staff was very pleasant. You can tell they give attention to the small details that make this a wonderful place to stay. We had a great dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed breakfast in the terrarium.
The room was nice but a bit cramped and there were no work stations with extra outlets to plug into so I was forced to use my laptop on a bed. The ground floor room we were in had small patio with a great view of the park and the Mission but the view was blocked by a six foot fence which is just sad. We definitely would have used the patio if the fence were not there. Maybe we'll ask for a second floor room next time we're in town.
We were greeted nice by the front desk. Computer was down so she wasn’t able to do the job for checking us in as she normally would. The room was nice but the water pressure was really bad. Our room was connected to a restaurant and loud music played all day all and tell at least 11pm. Bed was comfy. My sister has another room and her tv didn’t work. About to have their offered breakfast. Cute town.
The property and lobby are nice. The staff are great. Very nice front desk personnel. There is very little parking and have to park in an adjacent lot. Not sure about safety. The bathroom is missing a light cover with exposed wiring and loose tiles in the shower. Shower and sink both had spider in them.
Front Desk Amy was great to work with. Friendly, efficient, accommodating and customer oriented. She is a perfect introduction to the Clocktower.

Nothing exceptional, you get exactly what you pay for.
The hallway carpets were noticeably old and dirty.
However, the bed was firm and comfortable, which made for a decent night’s rest.

Room was clean and spacious but very dated. Bathroom mirror was desilvered, artwork and frames shabby. The a/c was tucked under a shelf without enough light to see the temperature setting. Closet hangars were bizarre.
Always a great place to stay while visiting Ventura. It’s central location to shops, businesses & restaurants can’t be beat. The staff (led by Luisa) is always helpful & friendly. And the weekend HOT breakfast is an additional benefit.
