"Half-hour from Lisbon"
Much cheaper thank in city, it is close to major highways and provides good base for exploring Lisbon, Evora, and for getting to the airport quickly. The reception staff was extremely helpful. However, the pool was not ready for use, the room needs to be refreshed (carpet, sofa, bedspread), and the cleaning was not very efficient (icky shower curtain, some kitchen utensils unclean, balcony not swept for over a week). Upon leaving the room, it was impossible to close the door without slamming it shut, making for a very noisy situation, especially when busloads of asian tourists noisily left their rooms at 6 o'clock in the morning.

Hotel Do Mar

Rua General Humberto Delgado, 10, Sesimbra - Map

This is the 4th or 5th time we have stayed at the Hotel Do Mar. This time the breakfast service was particularly poor. The hot food selection - bacon, eggs, sausages was not kept topped up sufficiently. If there was bacon there was no eggs or vice versa. Some days neither option and on one day we waited almost 40 minutes before the staff replenished. If you tried to ask the restaurant staff for extra they just grunted and pushed past you as they were too busy clearing tables. They really do need to look at the system. Apart from that the hotel is in a great position but is a little dated in some areas. This time we had a room in the west wing which was bigger than the usual rooms in the east wing. Overall facilities are fine and front desk staff very helpful and friendly.

"Something Unique"
While it is a little far away from the action of Lisbon, it would make a great home base for anyone who wants to head out for the day and have a great place to enjoy in the evening/night. This is also a great hotel to relax at. From the ultra modern decor, to the amenities , to the food, this does offer a lot. You have to pay for the indoor pool which is kind of lame but the outdoor pool is really nice. I was going to give this 5 stars but our room service took over two hours. The front desk said a bunch of orders came in at once but when I asked the person who delivered the food to our room about the hold up, he said they burned one of our entrees. It is a fairly new place so they are working out some of the kinks still I'm sure. Read other reviews complaining about the black walls but I thought it was kind of neat. The room was nice and the beds were super comfy. The only thing that was a little off for us was the fact that the shower in the bathroom had a glass wall so you could see into the shower from the room. The middle part of the glass is frosted but not enough for it not to be awkward if you are there with anyone other than your spouse (my 11 year old was with us). They should install some sort of roll down curtain or something to allow privacy. Would stay here again and recommend for anyone wanting a unique but cool hotel experience.

Troia is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Troia, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Troia hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
