"Very close to hot springs state park."
We found out that you can visit all of the major attractions (hot spring state park and dinosaur dig) in Thermopolis in one day. If you want to see the prehistoric cave paintings you need to get the key FIRST from the lady at the state park/chamber of commerce building. We drove out to see them only to find we didn't have the key. Overall, the visit was great; hotel had a good pool and spa was definitely hot. Compared to other hotels, their complimentary breakfast was okay. The hotel restaurant was great.

"Excellent location, close to the mineral pools."
In overall hotel is very clean with great location. However, I would not stay longer than 3 days. At nights and mornings you would be kept awake with neighbors doors slamming. Had difficulties with drying swimming suits and other damp clothes after visiting pools and baths. Hotel's pool and hot mineral tube are very nice, I enjoyed the soaking in hot mineral water in the morning. I am a muslim and very peculiar about the breakfasts, however , my husband -an American- seemed to be ok with food. All day along there are cookies and tea available at lobby, which was very-very nice, I loved the tea selection, my husband loved the cookies. My next short trip to Thermopolis, I would probably stay here again, hoping for more quite neighbors. I haven't interacted with hotel stuffs but they seemed to be polite and helpful.

"Exceptional experience"
Recently booked a stay with the Elk Antler Inn. Arrived early and through absolutely NO blame of the Inn or the staff decided not to stay but to press on with my trip (too early to stop driving for the day). The hotel was very clean AND comfortable! When I decided to move on (about 15 minutes after I checked in), the staff was MOST gracious, and exceptionally helpful. To the point of getting online and helping me find a hotel further down the road! I couldn't have asked for a nicer couple to deal with, or someone more helpful! Would recommend a stay without question! If I am EVER back in Thermopolis, I will without question be staying at the Elk Antler Inn!!

"True to the reviews...."
We decided to stay here because of the reviews. Clean, plenty of towels, and comfortable mattresses. Yes, the facility is dated. We knew that going in. We decided saving money was our immediate concern and with the consistent reviews we'd chance it. It was as stated. I was concerned about the bathroom floor because it had a glitter texture and I felt concerned about how they could keep it clean. The bathtub was dated and the grouting of the tub to the walls was done in a fashion I again had issues on how it could be kept clean even though it looked clean. The tub was dated and yellowed. We only stayed one night so I decided to wait until our next hotel to shower as I'd showered at the State's hot springs facility. Water pressure was good and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of tv stations and the internet was steady. It wasn't high speed but was adequate to do what I needed to do and wireless so I could hook up my phone to my trip routing planner. We slept well. It was quiet and we were comfortable. The mini fridge made our bottled water for traveling icy cold. For the rates it was a comfortable stay. The woman in the office was friendly. I would recommend this property for those wanting to save money on a budget. If you want new or shiny and are willing to pay a premium this is not the place. We would stay there again being that it filled our needs.

Thermopolis is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Thermopolis, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Thermopolis hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
