Great hotel with excellent service. Busy on the weekends so sometimes difficult for guests to make dinner reservations. Concierge suggested I eat outside the hotel. Ended up using room service. Otherwise great experience

"Pleasant stay"
Provided you are prepared to journey into the city by public transport this is a good choice. The surroundings aren't pretty, but the hotel is great value for money. Lovely staff, excellent breakfast, wonderfully comfortable beds and well-appointed rooms. Only the towels let them down.

"Great room & location in heart of old town."
We were on a second floor bedroom (room 201) that took 4 beds. The room was huge with separate table & 4 chairs plus another desk, chair & hanging space. Simple but very well refurbished full of character especially of the old stair case. Great door security but no room safe. We faced the side street so was noisy at around 12pm with people going home. Room was really clean & we have no complaints at all. We were a group of 4 elderly male friends so our 'dorm' room (with no bunks) was great for us on a 4 day / 3 night stay over. We would have preferred an en-suite shower & WC but the washing facilities a few paces down the corridor was excellent with 5 sets of self contained facilities on this second floor recently built to a very high standard. No waiting at all & each of the self contain shower cubicles were cleaned by proper dedicated staff at what appeared to be every 2 hours. They were spotless. The receptionist was really helpful & made us feel very welcome. For such an economy budget hotel, we were not expecting this level of quality so very well done.

"We would definitely return "
We had a wonderful stay at the Nobis Hotel. The location is amazing--right in the center of everything. We are long time vegans (26 & 27 years) and the fabulous part of Sockholm, besides its beauty, is the amazing vegan restaurants and other restaurants that are vegan friendly. This hotel is close to everywhere. My husband loved the saunas and we both appreciated the work-out facility. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Stockholm is our newest favorite city and we will go back to the Nobis Hotel because of our good experience there.

"Oasis in the City"
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hotel Skeppsholmen. It was incredibly comfortable and welcoming. Staff went the extra mile to ensure our happiness. Especially to note was our experience in the restaurant. One morning we slept past breakfast. I was not in the mood for lunch and the server intuited that I was feeling down, offered for the kitchen to make us some ham and cheese sandwiches, then comped our entire meal (I had been feeling very out of sorts). Little things like that made for a great stay.

Elite Hotel Marina Tower

Saltsjoqvarns Kaj 25, Stockholm - Map

"Take the boat!"
Elite Hotel Marina Tower is a very nice hotel cut off from Södermalm by a watery creek. There is no T-bana (metro) stop serving the neighbourhood and getting to the Henriksdals bus or light railway stops is quite a palava because of the steep hill and complex road layout at the top. Also both these services originate at Slussen, a place best avoided at the time of writing (and for some years to come by the look of it) because it's a massive building site. So, unless you can afford a taxi, the best way to arrive and depart from this hotel is the Sjövägen 80 water bus service from Nybroplan. If you’re arriving in the city at Stockholm Central station (you will be if you fly to Stockholm) 2 stops on the Tunnelbana or light rail takes you close to the Nybroplan quayside, then it's just 2 stops on the boat. You can do it in a single journey (30 krona) and it drops you right in front of the main entrance of the hotel. Armed with this knowledge, you can have a stress-free stay at the EHMT and enjoy the superb breakfast!

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
