Good, but could be better

The grounds are beautiful, the room was very clean despite being old. Some mold in the bathroom but nothing out of the ordinary for a property this age. The A/C didn't work well and maintenance didn't do much about it. Run it 'til it goes basically. Room was never at temperature and always humid. No microwave, large "bar fridge". The front desk folks were curt and unhelpful, they did their job at the minimum. Overall okay for a 4 days stay. The Inn is located next to some very good restaurants, not far from the beaches and most Santa Barbara major attractions. Would look for another property next time but if the price is right, I would return.

It’s rundown

The service is great at front desk and restaurant. The room was very simple, but poor ventilation and poor electrical outlets. Lights for vanity and hallway blew out while I was getting ready, I feared of being electrocuted when plugging my phone. Hotel is run down, but ample parking.

The morning clerk had no idea when the restaurant opened for breakfast. He told me 9:30 am which as it turned out was clearly wrong. People were eating when we checked out at 8:15. Ended up spending money elsewhere. Decent hotel; big room.

It was close to all the restaurants and shops downtown. It was quiet and had a wonderful outside balcony with a table and chairs to have coffee outside. Would've liked shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the shower. The room smelled musty all the time even with air conditioner running and door open. Bed was comfy, but was missing a sheet. Our stay was pleasant.

Everything was great , except bathroom tiles was moldy and shower curtain was very old and dirty. Sorry. But everything else was great.

We reserved the "delux" room, however it was extremely outdated. Scratches on the wall, couldn't tell if carpet was clean because it was very dark. The tub and toilet have rust around them. Very poor lighting. I would not stay in this hotel again.

The property itself is in a great location and convenient to downtown and the beaches. The bathroom doorknob was loose and needed some maneuvering to adequately close it. The balcony table and chairs add a nice feature but are not dusted. The balcony wall is and looks dirty. I also found it interesting the beds had no sheets even though the beds, comforters and pillows were great. Nonetheless, the room itself was clean. Overall good but too pricey for what you get.
