REFUND EXPECTED. Smoke detector wrapped in plastic bag in a "smoking room" which turns out smoking rooms have been 100% ILLEGAL per CA law since 2024. Sheets had what appear to be blood stains& bathroom wall too. The room above had people screaming and pounding on walls and stomping floor from 2:15am til after 4am. After attempting to call the room directly 3 times, occupants took the phone off the hook, at which point we called the office. On-site security spoke directly with them three and for nearly hours, the noise has not subsided even slightly. 7 calls after, hated to but had to say we'd be contactiing police dept next. The noise subsided. Until just after 430am when one of those room "visitors", accidentally intending the room above us , came beating on our door looking for the prostitute in the room above . Our mattress was supposed to be a Queen. It was not. It was a double/full mattress. It was, at it's absolute best, deserving of a prison cell. It had, again, blood stained sheets, permanent 4inch depressions in a 5inch mattress. All we could feel was the wood plank underneath us. When we rotaded the mattress, we discovered concealed under a 5 year expired credit card , a food stamp card and a crusty sticky notebook containing journal entries from a guy who called his "pimp game tight a. f." When leaving in the morning, 5 police units were responding to a 9-11 call involving a voilent sounding disturbance from the same room & adjacent room above

My wife and I stayed at the Riverside Motel 6 while attending a wedding in the area. We were given a smoking room, it smelt like a used ashtray. The check-in process was so protracted I didn’t have time to line-up again to swap my room. They insisted on scanning both mine and my wife’s drivers’ licenses. Maybe that reflects the criminality of many of the hotel guests. We were kept awake well into the night by loud rap music in the room above, followed by the sound of a Police helicopter hovering above the hotel. On a positive note, we didn’t see any cockroaches and my car wasn’t stolen.
