Terrible Experience – Do Not Stay Here This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. On the first night I complained my bed was damp and I was told that there was absolutely nothing they can do. Night 2 I discovered mold behind the bed disguised as wallpaper, and there were cockroaches. When I tried to get help, the front desk ignored my calls. I had to go down in person 2 nights in a row and was faced by staff member Thomas who told me there was nothing he could do AGAIN. Thankfully, another staff member named Daniel eventually moved us after 30 minutes of back-and-forth. But even the new room had bugs. At that point, I gave up. The resort beach was also a disappointment — covered in seaweed, it smelled like a fish market, and the loud tractor they used to clean it ruined any chance of relaxing. Food was mediocre at best. I’ve stayed at many resorts, and this was by far the most uncomfortable experience. The only reason I’m not giving it one star is because of a few kind buffet staff and Daniel, who tried to help. Do yourself a favor: skip this place. I would never return.

I enjoyed the different restaurants the pool area and the staff were great. The variety of food was also great and was different in the man buffet each night with a different theme. The rooms were clean and spacious and the shows at night were also great. The only thing that I did not like was that the beach was full of seaweed.

Nice place with decent to good food. Daytime burgers and hot dogs should be made fresh for better taste. Restaurants were good with friendly service and available choices. Bar staff were hit or miss and room cleaning service randomly showed up at all times of day. Noelvis at the bar could be rude at times, most everyone else provided good service. Some of the staff didn't speak any English. The beach area was nice but the beach itself was terrible. Murky and wavey waters full of seaweed. Mountains of seaweed. Overall a decent place to stay but I wouldn't put it at the top of my list.

El hotel muy bonito, los empleados atentos y excelente servicio La comida muy buena y con variedad en el bufet. La barra del bar cubano, espectacular La discoteca buena música y mucho ambiente. El DJ Panda fue el menos amable. Lo único que no me gustó es que deje mi cartera visible en la habitación y me robaron aprox $200.00 de mi wallet.

Overall, our stay was very nice. We liked that there were many options for restaurants. The Asian restaurant was by far the best - their food & customer service was exceptional. We really liked all the amenities that were available. The beach was beautiful. Rooms were clean. The biggest issue we had was the fact that the staff is not very friendly. This was the majority of the staff. We did encounter a few individuals that were very nice and attentive. The other people made us feel as if we were a burden. We have stayed at other riu hotels in Mexico multiple times and have absolutely enjoyed our stays with them. We were expecting that type of service at this location.
