McNeills Inn on the Harbour Front

"Great location"
Kinda diff unit that was built to fit the property, don't put a square on it, lol, but neat in a quirky way, great bang for the buck, clean and comfortable, and the food and cold beer at the pub next door is the best on the North Island!

Dalewood Inn

1703 Broughton Blvd., Port McNeill - Map
"Conveniently near harbour and visitors' centre"
We came to Port McNeill to be close to Telegraph Cove and enroute to Port Hardy. The hotel was adequate, clean and good location, with liquor store and large car park. Our room had a nice view of the harbour. Condition of the hotel was bit dated but suited our needs.

Seine Boat Inn

60 Fir Street, Alert Bay - Map
"Quaint hotel with views and custom west coast feel"
We arrived in the rain and the sky opened up with sun. Seine boat inn overlooks the quaint Boardwalk and bay. We cooked dinner with our kid then met some friendly locals as the sun set over the islands. Beautiful aboriginal carvings line the walls of the office and the loft gallery fronts the hotel. The location is convenient to everything even the airport. Next time we won't bother with a car.

The Oceanfront Hotel (Formerly Malcolm Island Inn)

210 1st Street, Sointula - Map
"Cozy room on Malcolm Island"
Staff were friendly and happy to offer assistance with amenities and things to explore on the island. The room was very clean and cozy with a comfortable bed. The shower took a long time to heat up but worked great otherwise. Sounds travels easily but other guests were respectful so it did not pose a problem to us. Overall a great stay and we look forward to coming back to Malcolm Island.

Bayside Inn - Alert Bay Hotels

Bayside Inn

81 Fir Street, Alert Bay - Map
Don't let the plain wrapper fool you, it may not be the Ritz, but this is the place to stay in Alert Bay. Our room was very clean and the beds were great. I actually slept as good as I do at home, with a window for fresh sea air and ample bedding to keep us warm. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and the shower had real cleansing power. If you want to learn the local news, the restaurant, Mona's Place is where the local morning coffee club meets. But the best feature we found was the hospitalty of the owners, Mona and Dave. They live in the hotel and care for it as their home and they really make you feel welcome. If you want to sleep in the same room as a world renowned artist, ask for #5, the Beau Dick room. All the accomodations we have stayed at on our visits to Alert Bay have been excellent, but the Bayside Inn has been the best.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Port McNeill hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
