"Nice hotel for seeing Plitvice Park. "
Our cab driver had trouble finding hotel and actually dropped us off at wrong hotel so we had to pay for a second cab. A bit of a long walk to bus to get to park which adds quite a bit of walking to all walking required to see park. Probably better for people with a car but it does work when the park hotels are full. The breakfasts were great and dinner was available both at the hotel and right next door.

"This place is magical! Really lovely and different"
To be honest I just went on a whim with this booking, I wanted something a bit special and different and I saw a review somewhere that said 'best hotel in Plitvice' and then I read about there being animals there and that did it. I'm kind of glad I didn't know too much about it, I just knew it would be good and it was truly amazing. We only had one night here at the end of April 2017 but it was truly wonderful. The staff were brilliant, everyone was so helpful and endeavoured to make our stay there as pleasant as possible. There was a mix up initially with our collection but it was soon rectified and the manager of Ethno himself Tomislav, came to greet us and made us feel so welcome. We then met and had a proper good laugh with Tomislav (number 2) who looked after the restaurant. Both guys are so cool and funny and friendly, we felt at home straight away. We were also welcomed by Zeus the dog who was utterly charming, he is incredible! Then to our room which was so cozy and comfortable, we loved it. I really liked all the wood and natural feel, it was really nice NOT to see steel, and plastic. It all just felt very 'in tune' with the surroundings. It was traditional but with all mod cons. The chalets or 'Slaps' (waterfalls!) were very comfy, it felt very private. Really cozy. Very friendly, chilled. Like I say the two Tomislavs were truly brilliant and everyone else was superb. I want to go back! I could imagine the whole village is stunning at any time of year. Beautiful!

Great location. Rooms were clean but outdated and didn't lock. Food was very average too. Considering we were only staying for one night and the cost was fairly low, this was ok with us.

"Great location for visiting park"
This was a lovely place to stay. Although it was a bit tricky to find (not on the main road), we received excellent directions and found it easily. Pleasantly surprised to find that we were in easy walking distance to one of the lesser-known entrances to the park, which meant we got to avoid parking hassles and fees. (This entrance is not open in the off-season.) The kitchen area was very small without many supplies -- fine for doing your own breakfast or sandwiches, but don't expect to do much cooking. We ate in their restaurant both nights and enjoyed the food. Very generous portions!

"Lovely original hotel"
We spent a few nights in mid October just before the hotel closes for the winter although you'd never guess as it was immaculate. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and Mariano in particular was very helpful.

"Beautiful guest house close to Plitvice"
House Jelena is a lovely guest house close to the Plitvice Lakes national park. We stayed here for a night before exploring the park the next day. It's a beautiful and comfortable house with good self-catering facilities. The landlady, Jelena, is very sweet and helpful and even gave us a little bowl of home-made plum jam to enjoy after our dinner. Highly recommend!!

"A nice B&B close from Pritvice toward Zagreb"
My iPhone GPS got me to the wrong location on the main street in Grabovac. Their site has the accurate map. You have to make a right at the main crossing in Grabovac and turn left and proceed about 400m to get to their place. It's big house with a red roof. The staff is nice. The room is clean and comfortable. They have swings, a seesaw and a miniature soccer field with goals, an ideal place for families with little kids. Their dinner ( mixed meat or fish ) was delicious and reasonable.

Otocac is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Otocac, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Otocac hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
