"Relaxing and replenishing place to stay"
Benefits: We chose this place because it was out of the way and was small. It gave us exactly what we wanted. Our experience was one of relaxation and tranquility. There is much to do offsite, but not on the property which was perfect. Wonderful swimming pool. When we wanted to go on an excursion, the staff took care of everything for us. Most of the time we spent walking the beach, listening to the ocean waves, eating exquisite meals (the chefs are true artists) and reconnecting with each other. All of the staff cared for us as though we were out of town family, in for a visit. Thank you to Juan Jose, Dayana, Karina, Amelia and Esteban. We highly recommend and would return. Negatives: If you are looking for loud music, partying, lots of people, games, entertainment etc. then this is not the place for you. Another downside was that it was a ways away from the airport (about 2 hours) and 1/2 of that ride is along dirt/gravel unpaved roads that gave you a "massage" . The beach is a unique beauty but not one for swimming.

"Bungalow close to Nosara"
We stayed in the bungalows. The queen sized bed was more comfortable than any of the other pricey hotels we stayed in during our time in Costa Rica. The showers in the bath house had far more water pressure and heat than the other expensive places we stayed. The property is beautiful and rustic. They have recently expanded the bar and restaurant offering and are still working out some kinks but it was delicious. For the price, this was my favorite place to stay!!

"One of the best places in playa Carrillo to stay"
I liked the place, felt welcome, the food from the restaurant was really good, the place has a nice pool. The only thing that I didn't like was that the room that I stayed was too small but other than that the place was very good, they even have a shuttle service that takes you to the beach so you don't have to drive

"Great hotel, close to beac, bars and restaurants."
A nice place well maintained. Great pool, smoothie and juice bar on site, loaner bikes and popular on site yoga class. In the heart of Nosara and Guiones beach. Great restaurants and bars are on each side and only a five minute walk to the beach. Ideal for a short or long stay. With everything so close no need for a car.

"Beautiful quiet hotel in the forest "
We stayed here for 4 nights towards the end of our costa rica trip and very much enjoyed it. The hotel itself is lovely and small, which means you get a very personal experience from the friendly staff. The rooms are very well done, spacious and clean. The balcony in our room (2) provided a view to die for, out over the forest down to the sea. It was such a pleasure to spend evenings on the balcony with a glass of wine. There is of note a little coffee machine and fridge in the room which was great, The pool and other areas are small but pretty and functional. No massive grounds but plenty of wildlife running around. Yes the track up to the hotel is a little difficult but we got used to it. But I would recommend having a car especially in rainy season as it would be 25 ish minutes walk to town, although you can get taxi's. If you're hiring a car, make sure you have 4x4 especially in wet season. Overall a great hotel which we absolutely loved.

"The unspoiled Costa Rica"
Beautiful nine bedroom boutique hotel located close to one of the most beautiful beaches playa San Miguel. The pool is definitely refreshing after a day at the beach or an early morning swim. Dinner was incredible. The hotel is showing signs of wear but overall a great experience would definitely return.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Nicoya Peninsula, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Nicoya Peninsula hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
