The best part of our Lapland trip was staying at this house. It truly had everything we could have wished for — a sauna, beautiful snowy surroundings, peaceful forest views, fully equipped kitchen, and even drying machines, which were extremely useful. The two-bedroom layout was excellent. One of the bedrooms, located under the roof, offered a stunning view of the aurora — such a magical experience. The kota was also a lovely highlight, especially on the night we went out and were lucky enough to see the northern lights. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, making everything smooth and comfortable. The location is quiet and relaxing, yet still convenient if you have a car and want to go into the town center. Breakfast was simple but good, and we really enjoyed our easy mornings over the four nights we stayed. The kids especially loved the sledges provided — they had so much fun playing in the snow. We would absolutely love to come back again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful stay at Riekko Lodge We are very happy that we chose Riekko Lodge for our stay in Lapland, Finland. The lodge consists of more than 20 cozy wooden villas. Ours was one of the smaller ones, but it was more than enough for our family of two adults and two children. The villa was very comfortable and well equipped: a small entrance area, a full kitchen with built-in appliances, a living room with dining area, a nice bedroom, and a loft with two single beds and a cozy chair. Our kids were absolutely happy to have the second floor for themselves. There were also two bathrooms and a great private sauna. We stayed in early December, and after the sauna we loved going outside and jumping into the snow. Our villa was number 1, which gave us extra privacy. The kids also enjoyed playing in the snow near the house. The location is beautiful — on a hill near a river, surrounded by snowy nature like a fairy tale. We were lucky to see the Northern Lights on several clear nights. One wall of the villa is fully glass, so we could watch them from inside the house, although outside they were even more impressive. Breakfast was included and very good. There is also a lovely restaurant nearby where we had dinner once and really enjoyed the tasty local food. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We truly hope to return to Riekko Lodge someday.

While there aren’t any sweeping views, the cabins are amazing and positioned so you feel private and looking at trees, at least in the category I had- 21. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, the restaurant and breakfast buffet was great and not lacking anything. I rented cross country skis one day and you can access an amazing network of perfectly groomed trails easily. I can’t wait to go back! I would definitely rent a car to be free from taxis

Super hübsches, neues Haus mit grossem Fenster Richtung Wald. Total ruhig. Inkludiertes Frühstück. Nähe zum Ort (10 Min. mit Auto), wo eine grosse Auswahl an Outdoor Aktivitäten gebucht werden kann und einige Restaurants und ein Supermarkt vorhanden sind. Nordlichter direkt auf dem Grundstück gespottet 😁.

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach perfekt! Die Lodges sind sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Es ist alles vorhanden, komplett eingerichtete Küche incl. Geschirrspüler und Kaffeemaschine, im Bad alle Pflegeprodukte und eigene Sauna. Ein Schrank zum Trocknen der (Outdoor) Bekleidung. Frühstück sehr liebevoll hergerichtet und schmeckt alles fantastisch! Vieles ist hausgemacht. Restaurant am Abend ist genauso zu empfehlen. Personal ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend aber nicht aufdringlich! Vielen lieben Dank für einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Rieko Lodge inmitten von der überwältigenden Natur!

Die Ankunft war sehr unkompliziert und ausgesprochen herzlich. Die Unterkunft war bestens ausgestattet – mit allem, was man braucht, und zusätzlichen Kleinigkeiten wie Kaffee und Tee. Alles war sehr gemütlich, und durch das große Fenster hatte man eine wunderschöne Aussicht und konnte die Polarlichter wunderbar beobachten. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Heizung, vor allem die angenehme Fußbodenheizung. Das Duschwasser war an den ersten zwei Tagen nicht ganz optimal, wurde danach aber besser. Das Frühstück war überschaubar, aber vollkommen ausreichend.

I fell in love, my own little part of paradise is found. -35 degrees doesnt mean a thing when you have a winter wonderland when you look outside and a sauna and a living that makes you smile everytime you see it. I normally spend very little time in a hotelroom. Here I even came home early just to enjoy it. The food is absolutely superb both dinners, desserts and breakfasts and the people working there, so helpful and kind. Its not if we will go back. Its when will we?

Es ist eine sehr schöne Anlage ca. 5 KM vom Zentrum entfernt in einem Wald gelegen. Das Frühstück war gut von allem etwas. Vom Abendessen waren wir persönlich etwas enttäuscht, Preis/Leistung hat nicht gestimmt. Da kochen für uns nicht in Frage kam sind wir dann immer runter nach Äkäslompolo gefahren. Polarlichter haben auch in der Rikkologde gesehen, jedoch muss an bedenkendes man wenig freie Fläche hat (Wald)

Abendessen: Das fanden wir nicht angemessen, kaum Sauce und anstatt Karotten gab es noch 3 Tomaten, die nicht auf der Karte standen….
