The Rosedale Inn was a decent place to stay on our vacation. Despite almost missing the check in time, which is strictly before 8 pm, they offered to still make our keys available along with all necessary information if we hadn’t made it in time. The office staff was friendly, and we appreciated their help! We were even upgraded from a Queen room to a King room for free.
The rooms are outdated, but had nice amenities like the tub and the fireplace in the room. We didn't spend much time in the room, so it was easy to look past the peeling wallpaper or the small rips in the carpet. There is no AC, but there was a heater. The area is so cool, you didn’t really need much more than a cracked window! We also loved the kitchenette in the room.
The surrounding area was very nice, and at night you could hear the ocean from the property. The property itself was small, but had plenty of parking.
If you can look past the small, interior flaws then this would be a decent place to stay for a trip. It’s far from luxury, but for my families first trip (with a 3 month old) we enjoyed it. It’s not very far from downtown Pacific Grove, and a few more minutes to Monterey. Being away from the busyness and tourists in Monterey was a huge bonus for us.
