The hotel was a ripoff. I didn't expect much from a motel and knew that the price would be ridiculous because all hotels in Monterey gouge travelers during car week. But $580 a night for this dump was obscene. There was no closet, no drawers or shelves for clothing, a tiny work table where i had to put all my underwear, socks and belongings, no hair dryer and no coffee maker. Bottled water was $4.50. Worse, I was told at check in I'd have to run hot water in the tub for 5 to 10 minutes before it would be warm for a shower. No joke! I couldn't even get hot water in the sink to just wash my face! TOTAL RIPOFF!!!

Nice place at good price. A bit of a cluster after we checked in and saw our room but didn't unpack Returned later to find several guys had moved in. Apparently someone overbooked? No worries, we got another room just as nice and enjoyed our stay. We would have stayed another night or two and visited Big Sur but it seems Auto Week in Monterey has got every hotel in the area booked the rest of the week.

We change the room. The room smelled bad and we were uncomfortable. The newly assigned room was OK but the room’s drainage did not work well. Guests in next rooms were too noisy and we felt unsafe. I understand that there is no perfect room. But, this was not good experience for us.

Just needed a quick spot to sleep. Went to Big Sur and Carmel which are both fairly close and easy access to freeway. The wharf is near and the food was decent.

The only downside we had was the solar panels on the ceiling kept clicking and it was a very loud noise. This made it a bit difficult to sleep.

Comfortable stay

A great reasonably priced hotel. They're in the process of upgrading. There was an issue with an Expedia booking and Expedia and the hotel did everything they could to remedy it and they did. If you need lodging for a car race at WeatherTech raceway book ahead with this establishment as they book up early
