We had a very basic room (ground floor) which was...basic. Next time I would bring my own pillow. But very clean and affordable Great location and the man at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating.

Love this hotel and customer service was beyond 5 stars! Quite, clean, warm, cozy, across from the beach..what more could you want! The front desk gentleman took the time to let me pick out what room was suitable and was so patient and kind! Come stay...it will will be your new favorite spot by the ocean thats perfect for a getaway anytime of the year! Thank you Lovers Point Inn for the wonderful hospitality again!

I recently stayed at Lovers Point Inn in Monterey and overall had a wonderful experience. The service was warm and welcoming, and the staff made me feel genuinely taken care of throughout my stay. The location is unbeatable—steps from the ocean with gorgeous scenery, perfect for morning walks and sunset views. My room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious, which added to the relaxing feel of the trip. The only downside for me was that the room didn’t have air conditioning. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did make certain parts of the day a bit uncomfortable, especially during warmer hours. Still, the charm of the area, the hospitality, and the overall comfort made this a memorable trip. I would stay here again, but I’d love to see air conditioning added in the future.

Booked this hotel because I had planned to run the PG Lighthouse 5k, but it sold out. Figured we’d still go to PG & have a nice coastal weekend. The best thing about this hotel is the location - right at Lover’s Point & you can hear the ocean waves. There’s also a great restaurant right across the street. The staff is awesome - very friendly & helpful. It was an unusually hot weekend &, while there is no AC, they do have a tower fan in the room that helps. There is a fridge in the room but no microwave. Many hotels’ TVs don’t let you plug in an AppleTV or if you can, the volume control is on full blast & you can’t adjust it making it useless. Not here. You can hook up & it works great, which was nice. So why only two stars. Unfortunately, this is just a very old property, & it really shows. The amenities inside are minimal & items are cheap plastic, even the small table & chairs. The dust ruffle on one of the beds was torn & the curtains were off the track on one side. The tiny bathroom only has a conditioning shampoo & a body wash dispenser so if you need conditioner, you’d better bring it with you. The soap at the sink is a tiny sliver. The carpet was damp in some places. It was going to be 3 of us but we ended up bringing our niece. Room was 2 queens, max 4 people, but had only 3 towels. We asked for a 4th, & were told no bc reservation only had 3 people. We had to exchange a used towel to get another one. What? Trust me - no one is stealing those cheap towels.
This is all you get in the shower. Come prepared.

The front desk staff at check in was rude. I had to move my room because it stank. They put me on 3rd floor where two doors down workers were pounding the whole day and I had to ask them to stop so I could rest. No heater, no phone all at exorbitant price. The owner moved in next door and they were rude and noisy! I will NEVER stay there again.

1 Very expensive. I could habe gotten a suite at the foutainebleau in las vegas for what i paid the room was smal the bath/shoer did not have grab baars no floor mat the floor was very slippery when wet the wash basin was in the bedroom area one bar of soap was allthat was provided we had a first floor room and you could hear the people in the room above walking across the floor next time j'll Stay in Salinass and drive in to visit Misson and CANNERY ROW.have gotten

The place was probably built 1950's. Still original finishes. Bathroom veey small. Nothing updated. TV maybe 25", no HD l, maybe 10 channels all fuzzy. The only thing good about it is the location.
