My partner and I went down to Monterey for the weekend. I booked a standard room, and the images showed pictures of the room with one bed. As my partner and I check in, they told me that I booked a double bedroom, and they explained that a "standard" room is two beds. I understand this; however, I wish that they showed images of two beds because there was 0 description of that. Also, their hot tub was slightly dirty. The breakfast was okay-- not many choices to choose from. What I didn't like, was that the doors weren't sealed shut-- you can hear the wind through the cracks of the door. Our AC also made a really loud noise every time it would turn on. This hotel is not at all horrible, it's average.

The room was clean. The toilet had to be flushed a couple times to make sure everything was disposed of. The heater was too warm, come to find out the thermostat was taken off the wall, and the TV didn't work. We were on the 4th floor, and at one point the elevator jammed and we had to go down 4 flights of stairs. I have a disability and by the time I got to the bottom I was in pain. Not the best experience.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. Nothing fancy. Room face outside, so keep that in mind if bad weather is expected. Breakfast was good. But they have a pancake machine that is hard to understand. So no one was making any pancakes. Need to provide lids for juice cups to take to your room to eat. My room had a noisey fan for the heater. Rm 419. But would stay there again. But I don’t spend a lot of time in my rooms. So it worked fine for my husband and I.

This was a good 3-3.5 star hotel. Friendly staff, quiet property, easy parking, comfortable beds - except pillows too large and firm for me. They offered a nice hot breakfast. Nothing much to walk to, but In & Out next door. I guess you could walk to the beach, but you have to cross the busy highway. Nice ocean views from afar, and easy Uber to restaurants. Make sure and drive the 17 mile route! We would return.
