Staff was friendly. When the toilet was backed up someone came to fix within 20 minutes. It's an older quaint townlike feel and had a fireplace in in.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The room smelled awful! The bedding smelled bad, the air smelled moldy & the air vents were dirty. I could not use the heater because it was so loud, I couldn’t sleep. The bathroom fan was also incredibly loud. The guest above me turned on their sink and the pipes woke me up out of a dead sleep. I could also hear them talking and could almost make out what they were saying above me!

The location is great and the staff friendly. What I did not like: Rough sheets and strange pillows making for an uncomfortable night sleep. Phone in my room did not work and there was a couple down the hallway having loud argument and lots of door pounding. Not enough parking for the number of rooms.

Anniversary trip to California. One night in Carmel. Beautiful area and we felt very safe walking around the city at night. Very nice room with fireplace and a good breakfast. Limited parking but we were able to park close on the street. I would stay here again!

Toilet was clogged and overflowed, all they did was send up a plunger for us to unclog the toilet with. All the rooms were fully booked so we couldn’t move to another room, but they did not clean or mop the floors.
