"Nice hotel by Gare de Lyon"
We only stayed at this hotel for one night before departing Paris. The location was good and the front desk clerks were very helpful in securing us transportation to the airport. We enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated the variety of choices. The room was small but clean and the bathroom was very nice. It was air conditioned which was so helpful after our long drive on such a hot day. The price was a little high compared to other hotels we had stayed in but nothing to turn us away.

"Nice hotel centrally located"
Hotel staff extremely helpful, room small but probably normal in Paris. Hotel is well located, close to all sightseeing locations. Breakfast selection could have been greater. No real complaints

"Overnight Stay in Paris"
We easily located this lovely hotel in one of the small side streets only 3 minutes walk from the metro. Very welcoming staff. We were early so the room wasn't quite ready but asked where was good to eat. There are loads of good quality brasserie/bistros just outside - we later found out that there is actually a brasserie attached to the hotel which would have offered us a 20% discount off our meal!! - not sure why we weren't told that as we would have been more than happy to eat there. When we did get to our room, the aircon was already on which was very welcome on such a hot day. Our 4th floor room was very clean and there was a bath/shower en-suite. Continental breakfast was ususal ham, egg, cheese, croissant etc.. but all very fresh and tasty. Easy checkout - would definitely stay again. :)

"Good for its price "
Very close to local stores and eating places. Right near the subway station. That is also a disadvantage because of the subtle noise coming from underground. But when you're tired that doesn't really matter a lot.

"Great Hotel"
The Grand Hotel Saint Michel was a great experience from check in to check out. We arrived before check in (around 10:30 am) and was surprised to learn that our room was ready (that was cool because we were TIRED!). The staff at the desk spoke fluent English +++++ and they were sooo nice!. The room was on the small side but that was expected and we were able to separate the beds for 2 people. The shower was a little tricky (we had to call down to front desk to get assistance) bring your own wash cloths because they don't have any! We bought some at MOnoprix store during SOLDES (only $1.5 euros each). The front desk helped us get last minute reservations to Chez Papa Jazz club Chez Papa to see artist Sandra Booker. We had breakfast included in our package and it was AWESOME with real eggs, pancakes, different meats, cheeses, fruits, bread, cereals, yogurt, stir fry vegetables and FRESH juices (don't sleep on they breakfast). I asked about the gym and you had to make reservation for that. The hotel was about 2 block from Luxemburg train station which will get you anywhere you want, including airport. There is a lot to do in the area, but you must venture out to get a good feel of Paris. Would I stay here again? Yes, without a doubt!

We enjoyed the brunch and tea offered. Loved our room, which had a great view of the street. It was a bit off the beaten track but certainly a walkable distance to most things. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

"Good location, helpful staff, reasonable prices."
The room wasn't large and we had to move after the first night because the window didn't close properly, but the change was painless and the staff are pleasant. It's a bit tired, but the price is fair.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
