"Handy, modern hotel."
Extremely good location for those using Catania airport. Close to main road system and easy to find. Plenty of on site parking. Town of Lentini unusually ugly. Beautiful setting for garden at rear of hotel if you have time to use it and pool. Breakfast amazingly frugal. No bread, meat, cheese, yoghurt or fruit. Cake and cornflakes only. Presumably they only expect to get Italian business people staying. Overall good value for money.

"Modest, but pleasant and clean B & B."
We were very happy with our stay at the Girosa. Our room was clean and quiet. The proprietors were very pleasant and helpful. The B & B is located in a quiet area at only a short walk from the center of the historic town center.

"Beautiful location.."
Our plane was late, we got lost on our way to the hotel and we didn't arrive until gone midnight even so our welcome could not have been better. We had an upgrade and a fantastic room/suite for our stay. The hotel was in a lovely building in a beautiful setting. Wifi reception in the room was good. Food unfortunately was a bit of a let down, breakfast was limited on the first day but much better on the second. The evening meal was not up to standard for the price we had to pay and I write this after sampling the food in other hotels and restaurants during our stay in Sicily. A shame as otherwise I could not fault the hotel.

"Good stopover hotel"
This hotel met my needs for ready access both to Catania airport and the city centre. Sadly, the hotel has no shuttle service. Taxis cost €15-20 for airport/city runs. Reception staff were friendly and efficient and spoke English. My room was quiet. It was well equipped and in generally good order. Breakfast catered for most tastes. Room service for a late dinner was excellent. The only complaint ( and it applied equally when my wife stayed the previous week) was that the room aircon did not work on the first of my two night stay. I was told it had not been properly programmed at the central control. Staff should check the aircons more carefully to ensure they are working properly.

"Working organic farm, with inn run by nice family."
This farm supplies the restaurant, and the cook is 73 year old dad. Reception is usually one of 2 friendly young women. As I remember, dinner was good, and the room comfortable. I enjoyed walking around the property and into the orchard, hearing the cow. I could see that much work is underway. Some were disappointed that the pool was not yet available (late May). The roads coming to the property from both directions are narrow, not unusual in Sicily (and Caltagirone was a real challenge). The wifi worked well.

"Nice agriturismo stay"
The farm is set among orange and olive orchards and has all sorts of animals including horses that one can ride to beach. It is also about 10 miles from Catania airport which makes it a great first or last stop on a visit to Sicily. Sadly a highway was built nearby but it is easy to forget it is there when You wander the property. Food was all homemade and exquisite (own oranges, own olives and olive oil). It is family run business - everyone but dad speaks very good English.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
