"Relaxing resort outside of busy Chiang Mai."
If you are looking to get away from all the tourists and hustle and bustle from the city, this is the place. We had been traveling all around Thailand for over two weeks upon arriving at this resort and we were growing a bit tired of seeing tourists and such busy cities driven by tourism and filled with smog and polluted air. This resort was just what we needed. It was about a 50 minute scooter ride from Chiang Mia to the resort (hauling 40lb backpacks on our backs) we pulled in and immediately felt the serenity and relaxation that was about to begin. Views of on looking countryside were gorgeous and the sunsets and sunrises were incomparable. Stunning! We would relax by the infinity pool or read out on the deck, taking in the chirping of the frogs and the singing from the birds. Whenever we had enough of that we would hop on the scooters and cruise around the backroads stopping at local food carts or boutique coffee shops and restaurants (green coffe: just west of the resort on 1095 was probably one of the coolest coffee/barista bars I've ever been to in my life and I don't even really like coffee. The food was incredible as well, but the owners are some of the most renowned and incredible baristas in all of Thailand). Up the road from green coffee was a national park filled with hiking, walking, bat caves and a really pleasant waterfall flowing with cold water and cool air. We swam underneath the waterfall for a good 40 minutes which felt so refreshing on a hot day.

"Top notch hotel....i would rate it as 6star. "
Beautiful resort with great facilities. Staff were so well trained, efficient, polite and services were top notch. Great that they have shuttles to the night market. However be warned that the food at this resort is extremely expensive. I have been to a lot of 5 star resorts in Asia and this is definitely the most expensive so faŕ.

"Nice hotel in old city"
It was in a convenient location in old city. About a 15-20 minute walk to the night bazaar. The breakfast was good and had a wide spread. Rooms were nice and clean. The doors all required an actual key and they give you one large one with a key chain which also turns on the lights and air conditioning in the room. So if one person wants to leave and the other is sleeping you have to keep the key in the room so the a/c won't turn off. Staff is nice as well. Overall, nice reasonably priced hotel

"Lovely hotel in a quiet location."
The hotel and bedrooms are very nicely decorated and with good facilities. The shower is AMAZING! The hotel itself is on a quiet, residential road which is about a 20 minute walk away from the daily night market. You can borrow bikes too if you want to cycle around town. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Overall a good hotel.

"One of the best in Chiang Mai"
At an excellent price point. Been traveling to Chiang Mai for many years and have stayed in a lot of different places. BB Mantra is a win! The biggest plus - soft beds and good pillow selection. This is rare in the land of the plank bed. Also, the shower puts out a torrential downpour on high and has a curtain to keep the floor dry - another rarity in Thailand. The rooms (stayed in 3 different ones over two months Jan and Feb 2016) are all very well cleaned and the decks overlooking the really pretty pool are a bonus. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. I had trouble with a slow drain once and they were on it with the fix immediately. Very good location away from the diesel exhaust of the moat road, close to Somphet Market, good scooter rentals on site. Highly recommend!

"great getaway from tourists in Thailand"
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint little makeshift hotel set in the middle of a lush thai forest. the area is becoming overly touristy, but if you stay away from "trodden paths," something that the hotel staff enabled us to do, you'll discover a beautiful local culture where elephants hold a special place and beautiful temples abound. The nature of the region is simply stunning.

"As regular visitors expect some recognition"
We stay in this hotel on average every six weeks, choose the best online deal we can get. Most times we stay in what they call deluxe room, this time had to opt for premium room. This fact was noted by person checking us in, would have been nice to have been offered upgrade. Difference in rooms, inferior beds and bed linen, thin towels and less of,no dressing gowns, no complimentary fruit, condition of bathroom poor. Don't know if anyone is designated task of recognising regular visitors, I suspect not. Will be reviewing our options on next visit.

Mae Taeng is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mae Taeng, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mae Taeng hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
