"Night at the palacf"
Great hotel. Slightly smaller rooms than expected. Staff didn't tell us you need to reserve lounge chairs at pool but otherwise good service.

"Perfectly located hotel in Biarritz "
Location of this hotel is the absolute selling point. It is located right in the centre of town, on a street popular for local restaurants and bars. It's a ten minute walk to the surfing beach and other two beaches in Biarritz. The hotel isn't anything too special. Our room on the ground floor lacked any natural light and the staff in the hotel were not as attentive as would normally be expected from a 4* hotel (there usually wasn't someone at the front desk and we lacked the usual toiletries in our bathroom and on one day we were left with no towels in our bathroom). For the price, it was good value given the excellent location, but overall a basic 4* hotel.

"Excellent stay"
Nice hotel and amenities, short walk to city center. Felt like we stayed in an Ikea store! Great breakfast items and afternoon snack with wine or beer. No fridge in rooms, but does have coffee maker.

"Good excellent quiet location"
This is a near new hotel in our opinion well thought out design and for the price excellent value for money in a quiet location. We loved our stay and regret we didn't stay another night.

"Short break in Biarritz based at Radison Blu "
We flew to Biarritz on the Tuesday flight from Birmingham and arrived at the airport about 1:00 pm. .A 13 Euro taxi quickly took us to the hotel and after a rapid check-in we had time to start our exploration of the area. Biarritz is a very long sandy beach surrounded by hills. The hotel is on one such hill and there is a long winding road down to the beaches. The beach directly below the hotel was covered by the high tide that existed at that moment but at other times we saw that it is a broad swath of sand, popular with many surfers. Other beaches became in sight as we headed down to the centre, following the coastal road. We had a quick beer in the first fishing port that we saw but were unimpressed by that generally and resolved not to return. There are many rocky islands scattered along this section and one has a boarded bridge to it, a tunnel through the rock and a view along the coast. Our walk continued down to the main beach and to the Hotel du Palais. All of this was done in bright sunshine at about 30C. Slowly we returned up the hill via the Rue Gabionette to the hotel. The swimming pool on the roof of the hotel was like a warm bath, not very refreshing. The large beer was better. Next day was even hotter and we spent time on a small beach which had limited shade but very safe bathing. Our last full day was cloudy and significantly cooler. We tried to go to St Jean du Luz, via train. Not a success! ...No more room to tell more....

"Convenient to the motorway"
We were looking for an inexpensive place to spend a couple of nights while passing through the region. Our rooms were tiny and spartan, but very clean, efficient and comfortable. It is exactly what it is, an efficient hotel for business and overnight stays. It is not a resort or family place.

"Well placed, charming staff"
First time in Biarritz, which is hugely characterful, classy and mixed from sprightly swimming old folk to surf dudes. This is a 1970s style hotel, recently updated (in our room with new bathroom and nice big bed), well located and with parking underneath. Rooms at the front facing the road can be a bit noisy. Our patio window had been cracked and taped up, which looked a bit unsightly.

Itxassou is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Itxassou, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Itxassou hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
