"Almost perfect"
Spent two nights in the "room with the castle bed". Only dropped one from a 5 star rating because the restaurant was closed for off season both nights even though the hotel was full, and the bar struggled to feed everybody. Everything else was right up there with the best we have experienced. No mobile signal and no Wi-Fi to speak of and no TV, so if you are looking for modern tech conveniences, this is the wrong place. Personally, I liked the fact you had to live without all that for a few hours each evening.

"Give it a try."
Had read some unfavourable comments about this hotel but we were a bit desperate to find accommodation on the Isle of Skye. Yes, the hotel is dated, the carpets in the hallways need replacing, but our room was ok. Spacious, clean and decent sized bathroom, we were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed our first roast in two weeks and apart from pre-cooked eggs in the morning, the breakfast was very tasty. Wi-Fi is only available in the downstairs sitting area. Parking is on site. Would not pass it up.

"Can I give it a 6 out of 5?"
Thank you Ben and Jon for an amazing stay! You both have created something special at Kinloch Follart. The rooms and guest areas are perfectly decorated and extremely clean and comfortable. Both Jon and Ben are so welcoming and friendly. Also, the breakfast was delicious! They provided excellent tips on what to see as well as a recommendation for a restaurant in town. This was definitely our favourite place to stay in our whole trip. The Isle of Skye is amazing and we will be back (and staying at Kinloch Follart). Thank you again! Brooke and Chris

"Nice stay!"
This was a nice place to stay. We planned this wrong, though - we spent a day in the Isle of Skye, the night here, then had to drive to Inverness early the next day. The woman who runs it does a fantastic job talking about the Isle of Skye and what there is to do during breakfast - unfortunately we had to leave part way through her talk (after we finished eating). Ensure you have at least one day to explore after spending your first night here. Oh, and she also makes fantastic jams and preserves which are included in breakfast and available for sale if you'd like to take some with when you leave. Definitely recommend!

"Great Hotel, cozy lodge"
Used this hotel after sifting through many reviews from multiple sites. Always remember reviews vary based on what people expect or want out of a hotel. We decided to stay an extra night on Skye and had seen this hotel on our drive north. We booked the day before (in March). This hotel was in a great location (over looking the beautiful Culliens) and everyone was very friendly. Check-in was easy and all the staff was very friendly. The receptionist warned us that they had just put in new wifi and to let them know if it wasn't working or being slow. They were very honest about this, there were spots in the hotel were it was slow but were were always able to find a place to use it (we used the wifi to plan our daily activities). We arrived late afternoon after snowy and cold hikes around Skye all day. We had a great room with a great view and a massive bathroom (which was so needed after a cold day of hiking!). Ended up by the fire for drinks and dinner. Everything was delicious. Woke up early and only had they cold breakfast because we needed to hit the road but overall would definitely recommend! Also, Expedia was very efficient to book these hotels in advance (let me pay in $ and no hidden fees)-never had a problem with any booking.

Isle of Skye is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Isle of Skye, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Isle of Skye hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
