"Nice little hotel in small attractive village."
Small unpretentious hotel, right in the middle of the beautiful North Norfolk coast. We were lucky enough to visit in sunny weather when everything was looking at its best there. We booked the only room left which was probably the most expensive - a to-room suite plus bathroom. Cleanliness etc impeccable. But SO badly furnished and laid out. In the bedroom there were about 6 enormous drawers, enough drawer-space for your permanent home, but nowhere to hang any clothes except two hooks on the back of the door. No wastepaper baskets in sitting or bedroom, no access to television in bedroom, whereas one of our usual pleasures visiting a hotel is to watch TV in bed as a luxury we do not have at home. Bedside lamps, but not bright enough to read by very comfortably. In the sitting room, the seating was placed in the darkest corner, and the television in the brightest. Again, there was a large lamp of the same ostentatiously expensive style as the bedroom furniture, but neither positioned nor designed to read by. We managed by putting it on the floor and holding a newspaper page to it. This is why I describe the room as disappointing, especially at such great expense. (£300+ per night.) having said that, the staff were excellent, the food good apart from one strange lapse, semi-corrected. The wifi reception was intermittent, but that might be more to do with the area than the hotel itself. Would we go again? Probably, but not to that room.

"Lovely pub/B&B"
Lovely setting. Staff very nice. Hosts very welcoming. Newly refurbished rooms. Very good breakfast. Served very good food. The only downside is that the pub is closed on a Tuesday. Breakfast was still available, but the restaurant and bar was closed all day.

"Restaurant with rooms"
On check in we were surprised to find we were staying in a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel, apparently as there is no overnight staffing. This didn't detract from our stay which was very enjoyable. We had room 7 on the top floor which was quiet with a view over the school playing fields. There isn't a lift and the stairs are narrow and windy, which could be a problem for some. The room was fine apart from the small disadvantage that the shower over the bath had neither screen nor curtain so couldn't be used without also taking a bath. We enjoyed all three breakfasts, which offered plenty of variety and also enjoyed an evening meal. Parking is tight but we always found a space. Staff were universally pleasant and it was a walk of minutes to get to anywhere in Holt and all its facilities.

"Good Hotel in the centre of Holt"
Good hotel in the centre of Holt with patron car park a real bonus. Room comfortable, warm, with scrupulously clean bedding and en suite. Staff could be more welcoming, although stretched between Reception and Bar duties after noon. Bar and food good.

"in a lovely town"
we stayed for two nights in the twin room, lovely hosts who served breakfast in the conservatory each morning. Great location for the town centre, only 10 mins walk. Only a short drive to the coast.

"One night stay "
Good location very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere within the pub. Room 2 very small but ok for one night. Bed very small with lumpy pillows and the bathroom cleanliness was poor. Breakfast delicious 😋 Would visit again but ask for a different room

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Holt hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
