Super clean, laundry on-site, kitchenette, helpful, friendly staff. Often it’s hit-and miss with unknown hotels. This was a very pleasant surprise. Plus it’s close to many of the things we wanted to see like Hobbiton, Rotorua, and Wai-O-Tapu.

Though the exterior doesn't look like a lot the actual room was quite spacious and well appointed. Very comfortable bed. Kitchen was great for a short stay. Plenty of dishes, nice coffee maker and supplies. Front desk provides milk for coffee as needed (nice!). Good table and chairs with space to hang out in the room. The staff was friendly, professional and quite supportive - provided milk for coffee, coins for laundry machines, ice on request. All of which made our stay much smoother and enjoyable. The towels in the bathroom were quite big and comfortable. The shower was spacious and the water temperature was easily adjusted. Overall a very nice place to go site-seeing the North Coast from.
