The room was in OK condition – a bit worn and tired, but clean and functioned adequately. The toilet would run unless the handle was jiggled. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The hot tub worked well but could have been cleaner. Overall, the hotel looks like it could use some updating, but it was a decent experience.

The five stars are simply a matter of value for a family stay. The hotel was clean, TV and WiFi worked well, water was hot, hot tub was hot, and breakfast better than average. I kept waiting to experience the catch from such an unusually low price, but we never did. Is it a Ritz Carlton, no, but what one pays for juxtaposed with what one gets? Really quite good value we were happy with. The one area for improvement would be the pool, which was fairly frigid, but even that was fun next to the hot whirlpool, like an ice bath.

I paid extra for a room with an in-room hot tub. You can see it there in the room picture. Only the more expensive rooms have it. I got there and they said oh that room isn't available. But they still charged me for it and wouldn't refund the difference. Rude, imperious lady at the front desk. Left early and obviously won't be back at this scam of a hotel.
