"Lovely sunsets"
The room was impeccable, so were both the indoor and outdoor showers. Bed was amazingly comfortable and the air conditioner was quieter than most I have encountered. Private deck with chairs and a small table, lawn in front, our room was closest to the water overlooking the marina. The sunsets in the Caribbean are always beautiful, so it was nice to float in the warm waters of the infinity pool and watch another natural beauty unfold as the sun sank in the west. We did not use the bar or restaurant - there was a huge wedding and the guest welcome party happened here, so we left them to their partying and enjoyed other local eateries instead. Would definitely book here again - very close to the pink sand beach which you must walk on to believe - excellent housekeeping staff, plenty of beach & bath towels, free wifi and beautifully kept grounds. Recommend as a great spot to stay on Harbour Island.

"Great room at a good price!"
This was a perfect place for us: comfortable bed, cable TV, mini-fridge, microwave, breakfast included (great coffee, fresh fruits, bagels with toppings). The owner was welcoming and made sure we were happy, even moving us to a room with a stronger AC when we were trying to adjust to the climate. The island is delightful, and after spending the day at gorgeous Pink Sands Beach, coming back to Tingum Village recharged us for another day in paradise. Stay in room number 1!

Rock House Hotel

"Beautifully managed small inn with great service"
What a find! Rock House is a little gem on Harbour Island. Don, the owner/manager is truly "hands-on," and it shows. The staff considers itself a 'family,' and they take great pride in this lovely property. We stayed in what was arguably, the worst room in the inn (The Monkey Room), but it was lovely, nonetheless. Everything was clean and up-to-date, and the decor was absolutely lovely. we enjoyed the daily complementary continental breakfast, and had a delicious lunch there one rainy day. We enjoyed two dinners in the dining room, both of which were delicious. The dinner service and bar service were superb. Be prepared for a bit of sticker shock when you see the menu prices, but that is the norm in Harbour Island. We also dined at The Landing, The Dunmore Beach Club, Sip-Sip and The Blue Bar @ Pink Sands. The prices at ALL of these restaurants were comparable to Rock House. Be prepared! Rock House has a lovely view of the harbor, and it is a short walk to the incomparable pink sand beach. We will definitely return to Rock House!

"Nice Hotel close to a quiet beach."
Stay here for the true Bahamian experience of culture and friendliness. Daddy Joe's proprietor and entire staff were exceptionally accommodating. Our travel choice is always to experience and enjoy the culture, people, & food of the country. Daddy Joe's offered the best in food, a lively bar, with both guests and locals, and great music. Really enjoyed quiet beaches and the colors of the Caribbean Sea. Rooms were private and cozy surrounded by lovely landscaping.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
