Great location if you want to be in Temple Bar but could do without the late night noise. It’s an older hotel with limited amenities (e.g., make do with a fan and an open window rather than AC), but the staff were terrific and there is a pleasant cafe with good food and coffee right next door.

My stay at Handel’s was defined by a room with no window and closet. In addition, there was limited drawer space. Given the activities in Dublin (Oasis concert), there was no chance to change rooms. That being said, the hotel staff was responsive in their respective duties.

It was a good property and the staff were great but there was no AC and the restroom was dirty around the ceiling. Everything else was solid.

I would like my refund back honestly as this hotel was not worth the money. The room was focefully created for two twins, barely any walking room for two people, towels torn with threads, staff not accomodating as second day we asked for water for the room and were told only 1 bottle which was in the room first day we checked in. No housekeeping service to room, we were asked to come down to desk to get ice. Day of check in we got in at 6am and sat in lobby till 3:30pm waiting for room. No staff had courtsey to check up on us or ask if we needed water or coffee or need to use restroom. The bathroom sink faucets barely made it to sink so hard to wash or use the faucets. Only 2 in one shampoo available for hair and body but no conditioner or lotion in the room. Rooms shape and set up was such that the person next to wall would bump their head in the wall if they got up in the middle of the night. Pathetic service and room, I would never recommend or ever think about this hotel.

The bed was comfortable (but, I like a soft mattress)- sheets, comforter, & towels were very clean. That said, the carpet was filthy, the wallpaper was peaking off of the walls, & the corners of the room and edges of things were dirty. I had an A/C in my room which helped with the humidity.

This hotel is in a great location and we could easily walk to restaurants, pubs, shopping, yoga studios, and other attractions. Rooms have plenty of space to spread out, comfortable bed, large bathroom. Carpet is older and a bit musty. Because there is no AC, tile or other hard flooring would be a better choice. Biggest cons: Bathroom sink has two separate faucets so you either get scalding or cold water. Faucets were placed too close to the sides of the bowl so you can barely get your hands under to wash. Water pools out onto the back counter. No stopper to fill the sink either. Bathroom wasn’t super clean.

Great location and right next to Darkey Kelly’s pub. Great food and live music. The rooms need an overhaul and the bathrooms require serious updating. I’m unclear why any hotel has bathtubs at this point. No air conditioning. Great and friendly staff. For the price, great place.

Great location

First thing was the very late check in. I mean what is going on with 3pm room availability. Ridiculous. Hire more staff!! Room was pleasant, but no fridge!! It’s location is terrific if you want to walk to popular sites. Darkeys right next door was an absolute blast. Typical Irish pub with exceptional service and food. Syltayed 2 nights to see Dublin City, which did not disappoint. Absolutely loved the Irish hospitality.
