Stayed ten nights in this hotel for a business trip followed by a few days holiday. Enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. If you are looking for a corporate bed factory then this is not the hotel for you - you will find the the usual big brand name hotels elsewhere in Montevideo. If you are looking for a funky boutique hotel then this most certainly is for you.
It is located in the Ciudad Vieja, the old town of Montevideo and close to the Plaza Independencia, the main central square. There are plenty of good places to eat throughout the old town, although some close quite early in the evening and some are not open on Sundays.
First impression is that the hotel is full of art by local artists. The architecture reflects the building's history and marble abounds. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the continental breakfast is ample.
In summary, this is a delightful place to stay which added to our enjoyment of the city. I happily recommend it and would be delighted to stay there again in the future.

Mantra is a resort not too near from the center of Punta del Este, but very near from
"La Barra" with a lot of restaurants and Pubs.
It has an incredible external pool (climatized), and unique infrastructure to enjoy your vacations.
Has Kids Club, great SPA (with indoor pool and jacuzi), and very good restaurants with classic meet from Uruguay and mediterranean options too.
One of the bests hotels of Punta del Este to enjoy.
