We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The property is very pretty and the staff are great. The spa was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others, especially ones coming for a quite romantic getaway or a business meeting. We came with our 5 year old daughter so it was rather boring for us. The food was Ok, definitely not 5 star. Lot's of things on the menu were not available. Some simple things like sandwiches were not very good at all. On the other hand, the grilled lobster was excellent, but it was as add on item at 8 euros extra.

I have stayed at multiple All-Inclusive hotels, some 10 times the price of Club Royal Saly. I did not expect much when I saw the price; however, I was pleasantly surprised. While not a large property compared to some; the staff was friendly, the beach and pool relaxing and the food was surprisingly good. I'm still trying to figure out why it was so inexpensive. While it doesn’t compare to a Sandals in Nigel Jamaica, it also didn't have the $500 a night price tag that came with Sandals. I'll sacrifice one star for $400 any day. Can’t wait to return, probably next month at this rate.

Situated in a quiet spot about 20mins gentle walk from the Ocean, we found Footsteps offered the ideal situation to relax and enjoy the Gambian countryside. A million miles in concept from the resort complexes 20 miles down the beach it seems to appeal to active, sociable people. The owners have worked hard to make the lodge sustainable by using solar panels for both hot water and lighting etc. as well as composting toilets. They also take an active positive approach to the training and care of their hard working and friendly staff.
My overall impression was of a excellent eco-lodge, living up to the name.

A peaceful and relaxing location, away from the main road, at night you can enjoy the sounds of the waves and the forest. The budget rooms are simple yet comfortable, with shared open air shower and toilets are a short walk way. a beautiful and relatively quite beach. Regular evening entertainment including drumming, dancing and fire. It is also easy enough to arrange something more active either through Nemasu's tour options or independently using public transport.

The hotel has always been charming, good rooms clean and comfortable. The hotel has been remodeled, looks nicer but the bathrooms are a disaster, smaller in some rooms and water leaks everywhere. too bad.

To get to the hotel you have to go through the fisher village which smelly...But, the hotel is located in a nice and calm environment. The hotel has nothing exceptional but it is clean. The staff is courteous and will do its best to fulfill your desire. The breakfast is basic bread, croissant, milk, chocolate, coffee, orange juice, boiled eggs, jam, butter and La vache qui rit only -orange as fruit-. Don't take the pension or demi-pension option as the food is not that good at the hotel restaurant.
