This hotel is really superb. Some reviews had said it was 'tired' and in need of a do up. That was not my experience at all. We arrived while I was pretty unwell and the staff got me straight up to a room, managed the check in with my husband in the room, recommended what I drink for my very poor tummy problems, gave us a very late check out the next day, and kept a close eye on my needs. I can't thank the staff enough. And the room really was 5 star.

Kapil the coffee shop/breakfast lounge manager did everything to make our stay wonderful. My husband had a severe stomach issue for a couple of days and Kapil made sure that Khichdi, Dehi and lassi was sent to him in the room as he was unable to partake breakfast.
Amazing customer service skills!

From the reception to departure, Taj wraps its welcome gloves around you. After the bustle of the city, you enter into another world as you pass through the security gate. The floral aroma of the lobby, the excellence of the Concierge Satish, the willingness of the staff to assure you have the right room for your needs are all appealing. You bet we will make Taj Mumbai as our first stop in India on our next travels.

Toilet seats are old and need replacement.
I wasn't happy with their rate fluctuation. When I was about to book the hotel, they increased price. after two days it came down by 25%. People who book in advance shouldn't be penalized.

Very nice hotel and great staff. The beds are a little firm but other than that a great place to stay. The hotel has a few different restaurants with different cuisines so everyone can find something good to eat. The grounds are like a nice garden and you feel removed from the traffic and hectic pace of life on the streets. I would definitely recommend The Leela when staying in Bangalore.
