I stayed in this hotel before.it is indeed very beautiful hotel& staffs are always ready to help. My only complain foods are very expensive & they don't serve enough quantity. I ordered full size chicken plate had only three pieces of chicken.

I would have rated this stay as overall excellent but there was one big negative factor which kind of cast a dark shadow over the experience. When we checked in, we were assigned a room on the major construction side of the hotel of which we were not made aware at all. The Reception Staff did not consider it their responsibility to mention or even offer an apology at the time of check-in..when we heard the commotion of banging & drilling once in the room, the Concierge very flippantly said, " oh it will be over by 6pm"..& this was at 2pm. First of all, it ended at 6.45pm & that was irrelevant because a guest should not have to endure such a ruccus even for a minute without any prior notice & when we are paying the full rate for the room. We had specifically chosen Taj Bengal because of its serene location & because this trip was mostly geared towards rest & relaxation & spending more time in our rooms. I had to request a room change and the Duty Manager agreed only when i said i would endure 1 day since there was no immediate availability & he definitely would have to move me the following day! I am just amazed that not once did the Management or Staff show any empathy towards the guest's discomfort ...if anything, it portrayed a flagrant disregard of customer service & client attention. We are regular guests of The Grand Oberoi & I must say, despite being in the middle of the Chowrangee & New Market din, it still provides an oasis of tranquility. So, going back to them!

Safe, Clean and Comfortable. This is important given the relatively low income of the population and challenges of negotiating the city safely.

I had booked a Club room and for the rate it was good value. Buffet lunch was available at INR 500 and a good selection of Indian food was available. We spent the evening in the bar area which although could be improved did at least have a very good Filipino band that played until 11.00pm. The room was a bit musty and noisy as it was on the first floor and overlooking the restraunt

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was great. After a a long set of flights to arrive my transfer was at the airport waiting and check-in had no hassles. Room was excellent. Great food for breakfast.

I had very comfortable stay for a night. Room condition was good. Moreover food at restaurant was quite good.

A nice resort with peace around with no disturbances. Also the staff is very cooperative. Stay in Hotel was a little short as have been travelling for most of the duration of travel.
