"Great stay near beaches."
Love my stay at Floris. Great staff, clean, contemporary rooms and nice pool area. Mosquitos were a nuisance but staff helpful. Free parking. Mumba beach is very rocky. Pirate Kay beach much better. Go to Rosa's near Pirate Kay for lunch.

"Average Hotel on the beach"
The Hotel was confortable spacious rooms nice facilities on the beach, but not very clean. There was a pool bar but no service there. It has a Hot Jaccussi that did not worked and the pools were dirty. The service at restaurants was poor most of the waitress not friendly at all and the food was very poor with the exception of the meat restaurant and grill.

"Amazing Staff !"
Gorgeous ocean views with soothing surf and authentic Carib-Dutch rooms. Splurge for the upper apartment and get fantastic vista and facilities to cook and relax! The restaurant/bar are well known in Curacao and food is very good...drinks are even better! Pool refreshing and a great dive center onsite to explore the amazing reefs. A very special, wonderful experience in Curacao attending a dear friends wedding and reconnecting with our years in Holland made all the more enjoyable by the caring, friendly and helpful staff. Mix diverse European , Spanish and Caribbean influences and a great friendly, warm experience.."gezellig".

"Dilapidated Hotel in a Beautiful Setting"
Avoid the all inclusive plan as the lunch and dinner are basically white rice and overcooked tasteless chicken. There is also a problem with birds eating from, and walking in, the serving spoons. There is a fair amount of bird poop on the central sculpture, which needs to be cleaned. We ended up eating elsewhere even though the all inclusive was already paid for. Thus you will need a rental car. The dining room staff never offered to bring us drinks, even though they were not doing anything else. We stayed in an ocean front room with a patio that was beautifully landscaped and had a fabulous view! Be sure to book a junior suite. There are lots of tiny ants in the bathroom but they did not bother us. The A/C worked well. The scuba diving is good, with good visibility. The dive operator - Go West- is excellent. I would stay here again, but would avoid avoid eating here. This is a problem because it is remote. Three stars out of five.

Papagayo Beach Hotel - Jan Thiel Hotels

Papagayo Beach Hotel

Jan Thiel Z/N, Jan Thiel - Map

"Comfortable hotel begins to show its wear"
I wish I had been a guest at the Papagayo Hotel five or ten years ago, before the time when a beach hotel can no longer conceal any of the construction elements which suffer by being exposed to the salty airs. Maintaining the looks of freshness and newness at a beach resort can be especially challenging in a dry and windy climate like that of Curacao. In the rooms this wear-and-tear is especially evident in the condition of the floors. One has to commend the those in charge of the landscaping and tending to the decidedly undulating grounds. Everyone on the staff of Papagayo was super-nice, and so in that sense you could not hope for a better experience. The Papagayo Hotel is located on Jan Thiel, a coastal plantation which has evolved and grown into a village of resorts, giving off an air of informality which is unusual in the Caribbean tourism scene. Purists and sentimental souls may well shed a tear or two for the "Old" Jan Thiel and its slow decay, but all in all the sense of informality has been preserved

"Will Be Back Soon"
I definitely enjoyed my stay at Pietermaai Boutique Hotels. I love the comfort and accessibility of my room (two-story apartment) as well as the decor. What I appreciated most was that it is located in the middle of Pietermaai District with access to restaurants, nightlife, markets, etc. Because of this, I was immersed in the city life of Curacao and felt right at home. The only thing I wish, is that it was a closer walking distance to the beach. Other than that, I can see myself staying at this hotel again in the future.

Daniel is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Daniel, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Daniel hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
